Cammie loves the background stamps from Stampin Up. She usually adds those to the top of her wish list when every new catalog is launched. Today’s cards use the Sweet Floral background stamp #122857 that will be retiring on May 31st. These cards are stunning in real life and each one looks different and can be used for any occasion.

Welcome to my Secret Garden
Since Cammie is still on her tropical vacation for a few more days we are continuing with the tropical/ beachy posts until her return. Today’s card is one that Cammie did that is packed full with techniques and product mostly from the Stampin Up spring catalog. The background of this card uses the Oh hello #130733 stampset and bleach on river rock cardstock. Then the Mambo frame was stamped using the mambo ink and the Oh Hello stamp set. The center was cut out using the oval framelits #129381 and the flowers were embossed on watercolor cardstock in black powder using the Secret Garden Stampset #129144, then the flowers were colored with blender pens and mambo, tangerine tango and pumpkin pie inks. The flowers were cut out using the Secret Garden coordinating framelits #129372. The card was finished with a piece of ruffled ribbon in lucky limeade.
Cammie made sympathy cards using this design but she also made birthday cards by swapping out the sentiment.

Sending Sympathy and Prayers
Today’s card is made using mostly new products from the Stampin Up Spring catalog. I started with a summer starfruit base and embossed it with my new favorite textured impressions folder- Honeycomb #129378. I then took 3 pieces of coordinating DSP from the Print Poetry DSP paper pack #129312 and cut them using the Labels #125598 and the Apothecary #127003 Framelits. I added the bitty butterfly #129406 and the sentiment from the Petite Pairs stampset #122497. I loved the way this turned out and I made it for my cardswaps for the sympathy swap.

Pretty Pretty Valentine
This card was initially intended for a pretty birthday card for a pretty girl and then Cammie liked it so much that she used it for both a sympathy and a Valentine card. This card is gorgeous and is another one of Cammie’s brayer cards. She created the sky using pretty in pink, mambo and rose red inks. The grass is done with Serene Silhouettes #127322 in old olive ink and smudged with always artichoke and old olive inks. The hearts are punched using the triple heart punch (retired). The scene is then cut with the new oval framelits #129381 from the Stampin Up Spring catalog. This card is breathtaking.
Simple Sympathy
Today’s post is a card that I have had designed in my head for awhile and decided to use it to make a masculine sympathy card. A dear friend of our family tragically lost his 93 year old father in a car accident this week so I needed to make a sympathy card. It seems like I never have sympathy cards on hand and that would make sense because that is when you need an unplanned card quickly.
For this card, I cut the Window Frames Framelits #129021 3 times using whisper white cardstock, Island Indigo cardstock textured with the Vine embossing folder#130492, and the Sycamore Street DSP #127540. Both the Vine folder and the Sycamore Street DSP are free items from the Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration catalog. I then cut each of the window frames and re-pieced them to form the window frame. I stamped the sentiment using the So Sorry stamp set #126527 and I used the Pappilion Potpouri #123759 and the coordination butterfly punch to create the butterfly. To finish the card added a small snip of the pool party ruffled ribbon and pearls to add dimension.
Inking with a Twist
Today’s card is all about inking. Cammie brayered the background using 3 shaded of blue Stampin Up inks (Marina Mist, Island Indigo and Baja Breeze) and then distressed the edges of the background with Not Quite Navy. The flowers are made from the new 1 1/4 inch scallop #127811and the Boho blossoms punch #119858 and the little leaves sizzlit #114511. The sentiment piece is made by inking the clear block H with 4 shades of blue markers in graduating colors (dark to light)Not Quite Navy, Island Indigo, Marina Mist, Baja Breeze and then filled the empty spritzer bottle #126185 with water and lightly misted the block and then stamped a whisper white piece of cardstock. Once the paper was dry she distressed the edges with Not quite Navy and stamped the sentiment. The strip was then mounted atop 4 scallop square #119884 of coordinating blue papers. I must say this is quite stunning and I cannot wait to try this technique.

Dove Sympathy
Todays post is a very pretty sympathy card using the Elegant Bird die #125593 from the 2012-2013 Stampin Up Annual Catalog. The wing of the dove is textured with the elegant lines embossing folder #119277. The banner is cut using the Petal Cone die #121810 and stamped with the Loving Thoughts stamp set #125845 and accented with the Little Leaves Sizzlits #114511.
Apothocary Art meets its match
This card is like a match made in heaven. Apothecary Art Stamp#125527 meet Labels Framelit #125598, Labels Framelit meet Apothecary stamp. A perfect match. I also combined the Adorning accents folders #125601 and adorning accents edgelits #125595 to create a beautiful edge on this card. I added a paper ribbon banner and embellished with pleated satin ribbon and Victoria crocheted trim #118481, bakers twine#125573 a rosette and various sizes of pearls#119247 to create this sympathy card.
Blossom Builder Sympathy
For today’s post, I used the card from the Stampin Up occasions mini as my inspiration and focused it on the baja blue flowers from the blossom builders designer printed kit #125410 to make a very elegant sympathy card. I love this blossom builder kit and wish I had purchased another kit because it would have made awesome mother’s day cards. I will add that to my list before the occasions mini runs out on April 30th.
