Rue Des Fleurs-thanks

Today’s post is a CASE from the now retired Stampin Up occasions mini catalog using the Rue Des Fleurs stampset and the wonderful Attic Boutique DSP.  I always wonder what goes into deciding what stays and goes from catalog to catalog because I would have chosen to keep both of these.

Ornate Blossom…going going gone

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Today is another tribute to the Ornate Blossom stamp set #117094 that is retiring at the end of May.  Cammie made 2 beautiful cards using this set.  The flowers are stamped and cut from Creative Elements stamp set #122647 and is one of Shelli Gardner’s favorite collection. The cards are similiar in design bit look totally different because of the color schemes.   All this retiring is making me sad, but wait until you see the new 2012-2013 Stampin Up IBC- there are  alot of new offerings and my pre-order arrived today.  Yeah I can touch and feel new product.

Ornate Blossom CASE

The ornate blossom stamp set #117094 will be gone by the end of May when the current Stampin Up IBC ends.  Today’s card is one that I CASE’d from page 106 of the 2011-2012 Stampin UP IBC.  The ornate blossom stamp is embossed with clear embossing powder and then I stamped a flower from the Fabulous Florets stamp set #123027 and then cut them out and popped them onto the card base.  The fun embellishment on this card is the flower centers that were made using the 1 1/4 inch striped grossgrain ribbon that I frayed.  Sadly all the 1 1/4 ” striped grossgrain ribbon is going away and is not in the new 2012-2013 IBC.  What am I going to do with out that ribbon?

Kindness Matters again

Today’s post is from Cammie’s card cafe featuring the Kindness Matters stamp set #127724. Cammie randomly stamped butterflies on pool party cardstock and then cut butterflies from the beautiful wings embosslit die #118138. Cammie embossed and cut out the frame using the designer frames embossing folder #123130 and added a piece of First Edition DSP and accented with pool party bakers twine.  What a great spring design that would make anyone’s day a little brighter.

Simply Sent…Going Going Gone

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Get them while you still can all the simply sent card kits are going away including the everyday elegance kit #122377 used as the foundation of the cards on today’s post.  Sad news is that in the new catalog there will not be any of these kits so stock up now because you can create use them as is or dress them up like Cammie did to create a beautiful card.  The rose on todays cards were made from the wing and the branch from the bird builder punch #117191.

Black & White Mixed Bunch

Todays post is another card from my card cafe featuring the Mixed Bunch stamp set # 125537  and the coordination blossom punch #125603 that were carried over into  the new 2012-2013 Stampin Up IBC.  The rhinestone bling added to this card really pops with the Black and Whisper white color scheme.  Swapping out the sentiment can make this card an all purpose card.

Fabric Flowers

It’s blooming fabric flowers.  Cammie created these beauties from the Stampin Up fabric for Mothers Day.  I was lucky enough to get one in the mail. The best part about these flowers are made from the Big Shot and are no show.

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mother’s Day.  Unfortunately our mother is no longer alive but I still made 12 Mother’s Day cards and mailed them to my favorite people who are mothers.  Not sure what is up with me lately but I am really getting into cards with minimal stamping.  I made the flower using the blossom builder punch and the 1 3/4 inch circle then ran the whole card front through the lattice die.

Peek a Boo Mixed Bunch

Today’s post is a card I made using the Mixed Bunch stamp set #125537 that thankfully will be offered in the new Stampin Up catalog that goes live on 1 June.  It is hard to tell from the picture, but I stamped a flower in daffodil ink and then punched  a poppy circle for the centers. I then created “card candy” to accent the card using a layered flower and then used the word window punch to poke a hole through the card to reveal a message.  Although this card was not a popular selection it came in handy for me to adopt for my May birthdays.
