Happy Hello Treat Box

2013_02_20IMG_0950My favorite free item in the Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration  is the Happy Hello Simply Sent Kit.  The kits are so versitle and intended to be used when you need a card in a hurry.  The Simply Sent Kits are designed to make card making a snap and include 8 diecut cards and super cute coordinating diecut envelopes and embellishments to make 8 cards.

Today’s Project started out as a simply sent card from the Happy Hello Kit #130149 but with a few scored lines a couple of snips and folds I converted the card into a treat box. I embellished the box with the sticker flower, rhinestones and twine and then filled a treat bag with candy and put it in the box.  Love it.  I really want to do a Happy Hello card workshop to put all the ideas into action.

Valentine-Late entry

SAMSUNG Valentine’s Day is long over but I had to share a Valentine that Blair (sister #3) made.  It is rare that Blair provides blog input so I thought I’d share her simple craft!20130215_171212

Artistic Etchings

2013_02_11IMG_0967Congratulations to my friend Elizabeth and her fiance Mike who recently got engaged on Valentines Day weekend.  I waited to post until it was facebook official.  Today’s card is the one that I sent to congratulate the happy couple.  I used  the More Amore Specialty DSP #129309 as the background and then stamped the Eiffle tower from the Artistic Etching stamp set #120573 onto another strip of the More Amore DSP.  I added a folded paper doily #129399 and then layered banners and scallops and a stamped heart from the Hearts a Flutter stampset #129252 and cut out using the coordinating framelits #130159.  I finished it off with a piece of pool party satin ribbon.  The ribbon is a free item from the Stampin Up annual Sale-A-Bration catalog.

Panda Hug

IMG_1118 This is the Valentine that I made for my sweet Panda loving son.  Yes he may be 17 but he has loved Pandas forever.  I wonder if he loves them because when I was a teen my bedroom was Panda wallpaper and lime green, black and white shag carpet.  So sad when we sold my mom’s house a few years back and the Panda wallpaper still intact- I am sure it was one of the first things to go.  Oh well, I saw a panda card on Pinterest that inspired me to pull out my Stampin Up punches and Framelits to create this cutie.  So happy to make cute punch art.

Whale You Be My Valentine

2013_02_014IMG_0918 What a cute and fun Valentine using the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP #126922 and the coordinating Oh Whale stamp set #129132.  This paper including the name, Sunshine and Sprinkles, is sure to put a smile on your face! The beauty of the Stampin Up DSP is that it is made to work together- All 4 of the pieces of DSP used on this card are from the Sunshine and Sprinkles paper collection and just makes me want to sing in the rain!

Valentine Basket

SAMSUNG For todays post, I promised my niece, Elizabeth that I would post her Valentine basket that she made for her boyfriend Joseph.  Elizabeth is the daughter of my sister Blair, the sister that rarely posts on the blog. Elizabeth decorated a heart shaped bucket and filled it with sweets and stuff.  Each item had a cute Valentine sentiment attached to it with a tag that described the object.  For example the tSAMSUNGhe apple tag says “you are the apple of my eye!”
