When I saw this card, I instantly thought of the She sells sea shells by the sea shore tongue twister. Crazy Huh? I think these cards that Cammie has done using the Stampin Up By the Tide stamp set have gotten prettier each day. Today’s card uses the Needlepoint border #129383 at the top and bottom of the card front and then colored with a chocolate chip marker. A wide calypso coral strip and then a soft suede stamped with the Netting background stamp #122655. A large paper doily was cut from the Delicate Doilies Sizzlet #126999 from pool party cardstock and then a large soft suede circle was stamped with coral image from the By the Tide #129120 stampset. The circle was adorned with and embossed seashell from the By the Tide set and a couple of buttons.

By now Cammie has settled into her Jamaican digs and is sipping Red stripe beer on the beach so why not post another beachy card that Cammie made using the Stampin Up By the Tide #129120 stamp set. The card layout is one of Cammie’s go to layouts. Each square is embossed with the coral and then accented with a sea life item that is stamped, embossed, cut out and added to the square. I love that Cammie added a large pearl to the 3rd square.
Today’s card is absolutely stunning and with Cammie’s expert brayering and embossing techniques the aquarium looks life like. I really don’t know how she does it but Cammie nailed it with this card! The featured stamp set is the By the Tide #129120 from the Stampin Up spring catalog. The card base is textured with non other than the Manhattan Flower embossing folder #114517 and she layered various oval shapes cut using the new Ovals collection framelits #129381 and finished with 2 modern label punches.
Today Cammie and her husband left for a two Jamaican holiday. They love to go to the island and try and go annually. This year they chose to go to celebrate Cammies “mid fifties” birthday. So from now until they return our blog will feature beachy or vacationy (not a word but it sounded it fun) cards in nature.
Todays card uses the direct to paper technique for the sky and the sand is crumpled cardstock. Cammie added a beach umbrella using the Rain or Shine stamp #126777 from the Stampin Up spring catalog. I will miss my sister but hope she gets the much needed relaxation that she deserves.
Happy Tax Day! This card is way too cute to send to the IRS but it would get noticed! The card base is embossed using the Cloudy Day embossing folder #127022. I cut about 1.25 inches off the card front and added the blue Chevron DSP from the Sent with Love DSP # 132182 to the bottom of the inside panel. I cut the pool party and calypso coral chevron DSP along the upper and lower edges and added it to the card front. I added the sealed with a kiss stamp from the Sent with love set #131847 and punched it with the 1.25 inch circle punch.added the pool party and the using the Stampin Up Sent with love promotional bundle. Click here to read about the Sent with Love promotion that is available now through April 30th.
I have recently experienced a lack of creativity in my card design and overwhelmed by all the stampsets that I have not yet used. So I challenged myself to get my creative juices flowing by browsing the Stampin Up catalog and pick a stamp set and CASE a card. I was inspired by the simplicity of the card on page 77 of the catalog using the Just Believe stampset #120453. The SU card was a little to flat for my liking so I punched a “peek-a-boo” hole and added the image to the inside of the card. I was happy with the turn out and have made a list of other cards from the Stampin Up catalog that I want to re-create.
Todays card is a great card to show how wonderful it is to stamp on the Stampin Up First Edition DSP #121878. Cammie chose to use the phone booth image from the Sale-A-Bration Feeling sentimental stamp set but any stamp will work great with the DSP. Cammie tied some ribbon and added the petite curly label punch. Good news the petite curly label punch #129405 was offered during sale-a-bration for free but now that the sale-a-bration promotion is over, Stampin Up has made it available for $12.95.
