Well today is the day that another Stampin Up catalog goes away. Both the Stampin Up 2012-2013 annual catalog and the Stampin Up summer catalog will be gone forever. Some of the products will move to the new annual catalog but there is a lot that won’t be available when the new 2013-2014 catalog launches. So it is not too late to purchase the You Rule set or many of the retiring products if you act fast.
Today’s post is the last of 2 cards in Cammie’s You Rule card series. These cards are both masculine in nature but with a quick color change and some bling you could glam them up to a female version.
Stay tuned tomorrow for the launch of the new annual catalog chock full of lots of fresh ideas and new products.
Today’s card is another one in Cammie’s “You Rule” card series. She used her favorite color combo- Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade rhinestones so how could you go wrong? What really makes this card special is all the bling she used on the crown. She stamped the crown using the retiring You Rule #129264 stampset from the Stampin Up spring catalog and then embellished the heck out of the crown. To color the basic rhinestones, Cammie used her Lucky limeade reinkers. The whisper white cardstock is textured with the Fancy Fan folder #127751 and the scalloped edge is cut from the Tasteful Trims die #120893. This card is sure to tickle the fancy of a little girl or even a grown up girl!
Just a reminder that there are only 2 days left to purchase any items from the Stampin Up spring catalog or in the Stampin Up Annual catalog. As of June 1st the retiring stamps, dies, DSP, and other embellishments will be gone forever. Today we are continuing with Cammie’s You rule card series. This card has many layers and starts with a mambo base then the whisper white layer is textured using the retiring vintage wall paper #120175 folder. Cammie hand cut a mambo banner but added the textured needlepoint border #129383 and then inked it in whisper white. Using a scrap of the retiring Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP #126922 and punched 4 squares using the 1 inch square punch #124094 (not retiring) and then she added the stamped crown using the retiring You Rule # 129264stamp set. The crown is embellished with plenty of rhinestones and she added another banner with the sentiment and a button with a rhinestone center. Super cute and fun girly birthday card.
For today’s card, Cammie used the retiring Beyond Plaid #129204 from the Stampin Up spring catalog to create the masculine background. A silver cardstock strip was textured with the Argyle folder #127750 and matted on black cardstock. The background on the white focal rectangle was stamped using the Clockworks stampset #127292 and then Cammie heat embossed the crown from the retiring You Rule #129264 stampset. She cut out the embossed crown and popped it on the focal rectangle. She finished the card with Black Glimmer brads.
Remember, just 3 more days until the retiring products in the Stampin Up Spring Catalog and the 2012-2013 Annual catalog will no longer be available. So order now! Good news is when product goes away, new products are launched so stay tuned for the new 2013-2014 Stampin Up Catalog that goes live on 1 June.
Today’s post features the retiring stamp set You Rule #129264 from the Stampin Up spring catalog. Cammie used various DSP scraps to create the banner that was adorned on top of the chalkboard. She used white embossing powder to emboss the crown and sentiment. What a fun card that can be used for any occasion.
Yesterday was our baby sister Blair’s 44th birthday and Cammie made her a box filled with a variety of all occasions handmade cards and postage. So now she has no excuse that she does not have time to send a card. Seriously, Blair is one of the busiest people I know. She is an active duty CDR in the USN Nurse Corps, awife, a mom to 3 teenage girls, a basketball coach to 2 travel teams so she never gets time to herself because she is always burning the candle at both ends. So Cammie made it easy for her to be prepared.
So what is a pretty decorated box without a matching layered licious and super embellished birthday card to plus a bonus card! The Stampin up Blue Ribbon #125981 stampset was used and will be carried over in the new Stampin Up annual 2013-2014 annual catalog. The paper doilies will also be carried over so get ready to be wowed by the new product in the upcoming catalog.
Today is our sister Blair’s birthday but it is also the 25th of the month so that means it’s time to post a Christmas card or 2. Since it’s Blair’s birthday we are posting 2 cards using retiring Stampin Up products.
The blue card was made by Cammie when she was going crazy with her retiring Perfectly Preserved stampset #126692. Cammie used the glimmer watermark pad and silver embossing powder #126857 to stamp all the images on this card including the trees from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set #127793. In case you did not know it the Lovely as a Tree stampset is the oldest stamp in the Stampin Up catalog and is a must have set that is NOT retiring.
The second card is my Christmas card. So sorry for the busy background but chevrons are hot right now so why not use it as a background? My card is a simple santa suit. The beard was cut using Apothecary Accents framelits #127003 and then I stamped the sentiment from the retiring stampset, Just Believe #120453 stampset. I just bought this set and am sad that it is going away.
Today’s card is another twist on a pinwheel card. Cammie hand cut a piece of the Print Poetry DSP #129312 to add the pinwheel #129411 cut from a scrap of summer starfruit DSP. She finished the card by adding some midnight muse and summer starfruit double stitched ribbon. The Sentiment is stamped using the Wishes your Way #129156 stampset.
Cammie used yesterday’s card as her inspiration to step it up. Instead of a plain background she textured the white using the Cloudy Day embossing folder # #127022 from the Stampin Up Spring catalog. She cut an oval from the chevron paper in the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP using the Ovals Collection Framelits #129381 and added her pinwheel cut from a scrap of Sprinkles and Sunshine DSP #126922 using the pinwheel die #129411 and the center is a dahlia #127556. The pinwheel is mounted on a cluster of kiwi kiss strips. The sentiment is from the Wishes Your Way stampset #129156 and then handcut into a banner.
