What’s all the buzz about? Tomorrow, August 1st the Stampin Up Holiday catalog is available for preview and ordering. It is so exciting so stay tuned tomorrow and I will be posting the new catalog on our blog. Onto today’s post. This is a fun card Cammie made that features the Honeycomb texture folder #129378 as the background. She added the hand cut bees from the now retired Nature Walk stamp set but any set with bees would do. She added the sentiment by finding a the word “just” in any stamp set she had and then used an alphabet stamp set to create the “cuz”. The card was finished by wrapping a ribbon and tying it off with a knotted bow.
Yeah! It’s another Digital Download day. Be sure to check out thenewest downloads for MDS available on the Stampin Up site.
Today’s page is a retro page that I made for the book for my Mother- In-Laws 80th birthday. To create this page in MDS, I used the crop feature to cut out the phone strips from the digital DSP. Creating in MDS is quick and fun and the best part is if you don’t like it you can easily undo and start over without any fuss.

Today’s card is a fun card Cammie made using the split panel card layout where she added a whisper white panel textured with the Square Lattice folder #119976 and a piece of pink and white gingham from the Gingham Garden DSP #129310 in the Stampin Up annual catalog. The center oval focal piece was stamped using the Summer Silhouettes #126447 stamp set. Cammie finished the card using 2 punched word window pieces #119857 and basic pearls #119247.
I love today’s card if I do say so myself. This card features the beauty of layering the framelits and for this card I used the Window Framelits #129021 from the Stampin Up catalog to create a “window” in the vanilla cardstock. It reveals the So Saffron card base and then I stamped the Thinking of You image that coordinates with the window framelits and layered it in the hole created from the first framelit. I added to chevrons cut from the Tea Time DSP (no longer available).
In case you have not seen it yet in the Stampin Up 2013-2014 annual catalog on page 184 the new Big shot magnetic platform is a huge hit and flying off the shelves. Check out the picture on pg 187 that shows you how to keep your framelits in place with this all new fun tool. To see it in action, check out the how to video by visiting http://www.stampinup.com/home/show-me-how .
Have fun and keep creating.
Today’s card is one that is super simple and better yet “mailable” without extra postage. The bad news is that I used a retired stamp that coordinates with the petite curly label #129405 in the current Stampin Up catalog. I finished the card with 3 different colors of bakers twine. This card was created in a snap.

Today’s card is so bright and cheerful that I can’t help but smile when I see it. This card uses the fabulously fun Polka Dot Parade DSP #126902 and the Spec-tacular Single stamp #132673. The sentiment is from the Pure Gumption stamp set #129317.
Right now Stampin Up has a Buy 3 get 1 free on most of the DSP starting on page 150 in the annual catalog. There is no limit to how many free DSP paper you can get but time is running out. You have until July 31, 2013 to take advantage of this offer. Also ending on July 31st is the chance to get the single stamps. So hurry to take advantage of these offers.
Another month is coming to a close and getting 1 month closer to Christmas. Unbelievable that 2013 is more than half over and since it is the 25th of the month that means time for a Christmas post. I used the same layout, same stamp set- Jolly Bingo bits (now retired) and created both these Christmas cards. It is so fun to see how different the cards can be just by changing the color and paper.
Speaking of Christmas….. the Stampin Up Holiday catalog will be available to start ordering from on 1 Aug. I have already gotten my hands on some of the products but just need to find time to carve out some play time.
