More Festive Trees

2014_12_21 - Copy Today I am posting 2 more cards that I made using the Festival of Trees #135059 stamp set from the  Stampin Up holiday catalog.  For the first card, I used the Under the Tree DSP #135825 as the background and the main panel.  I then stamped 5 trees punched them out with the Stampin Up tree punch #135859, trimmed them and stacked them to make a fun and eclectic tree.  I added a wrap of cherry cobbler bakers twine and some doodling to complete the fun look.

2014_12_21MG_5724 (2) - CopyFor My second card, I made a tree shaker in my favorite pink and green Christmas color combo. The end result was my favorite Christmas card that I made this season.  I used the On Point textured folder #135876 and then punched a tree using the tree punch to create a window frame for the shaker.  I added a tree stamped with the Festival of Trees stamp set and added the in color sequins #133631 and a window sheet.  This card is perfect for an interactive and fun card.

Festive Dotty Angles

2014_12_20DSCI0810 Today’s post is a simple design that Cammie used for her intro to heat embossing class. For the background, Cammie used the Dotty Angles Polymer stamp set #133658 from the Stampin Up annual catalog and embossed it in silver embossing powder #109131.  Then she cut the sentiment in silver foil using the Wonderful Wreath Framelits #135851.

For the 2nd card, the same process was used but she changed the sentiment and the orientation of the card to create a simply stunning card.2014_12_20DSCI0807

Hope you are nice

2014_12_19IMG_0114 (1)Today’s card is one that I made this year using a now retired Stampin Up stamp set called Santa’s List.  I bought this stamp set last year and never used it so I made sure it was on the top of my list to use this year. I made a window it the card front using the Stampin Up oval framelits #129381, then covered it with a window sheet and then I added Santa behind the window to create a fun card for families with young children.

Festival of Trees Parade

For today’s post I am featuring several cards I made using the Festival of Trees #135059 and the coordinating Tree Punch #135859 from the Stampin Up Holiday catalog.  These items are one of Stampin Ups bundle and save items where you save over 15% if purchased together.  I must say from the parade of cards here, plus others that I have previously shown it was a great set for me this year.

Enjoy the festival of Trees card parade.

Mingle all the Way

2014_12_17IMG_5712For some reason today’s card reminds me of a comfy Christmas sweater or sweatshirt from long ago.  For both the background paper and the center rectangle, I used the Trim a Tree DSP paper stack #135824 from the Stampin Up holiday catalog. Behind the center panel, I added a banner hand cut from the gorgeous Cherry Cobbler 1″ Sheer Linen Ribbon #135839.  The main focal piece combined an old snowflake stamp  and the new Mingle all the Way #135773.

Santa Treats

2014_12_16IMG_5606 Today I have 3 super cute and relatively easy Christmas treats to make for friends, family and neighbors.  The first one is a Santa box made using the Curvy Keepsakes Framelit #135853 from the Stampin Up holiday catalog.  Cammie made the box as directed and then finished decorating it with punches to make a cute santa.

2014_12_16IMG_0264For the next quick treat, I took a muslin bag #132180 and stamped a Santa image (now retired) and filled the bag with little treats.  Super cute and fun to make!

Finally, I made the adorable candy sleigh for a dinner party we hosted over the weekend.  I got the idea from a gift exchange from my office party and then I added my own twist.  The full size candy canes serve as the sleigh runners and then used 2 candy bars for the sleight base.  I found the Hershey bars with santa on them to allow him to drive the sleigh. Behind the Hershey santa candy I tucked a mini bottle of Kahlua  and a stack of miniture  candy bars to  make the holidays even brighter!2014_12_16IMG_6095

Simply Clever

2014_12_15DSCI0799I really love the simplicity of this card.  Cammie  fussy cut the presents from a piece of the Nordic Noel DSP#135822 and then added the sentiment from the Bearing Gifts #136667 to create a very festive holiday card.  Both the Nordic Noel and the Bearing Gifts stamp are from the Stampin Up Holiday catalog.  Items in the catalog are available through January 5, 2015.  So time is running out!

Triangle Tree

2014_12_13IMG_4704Today’s post is a clean, simple and almost stamp free card.  I used a monochromatic color scheme and punched triangles in 3 shades of green using the  Stampin Up triangle punch #133375 and then formed a tree from the triangles. The tree trunk was punched using the banner #133519 punch.  Once I formed the tree, I ran it through  the Tiny Triangles folder #133740 and then added a gold foil star and a hand cut banner with a sentiment.

Since today I am featuring a Triangle tree card, I decided to also share a cute tree that IMG_6060I made using the Stampin Up Oct Cute as Pie My Paper pumpkin kit.   I did not use all the precut pieces from the kit to make the pie treat boxes so I created this cute  treat box for a Christmas treat for my Advent Calendar gifts.  I decorated the front of the box with a piece of DSP from the Under the Tree DSP #135835 in the Stampin Up Holiday catalog and then punched a peek a boo tree using the Tree Punch #135859.  To finish the box, I added window sheet and filled it with candy then wrapped a piece of ribbon around it and tied it with a bow.

Koala Christmas

Today’s post is a really sweet Christmas card that I made using the Kind Koala #134360 single stamp from the current Stampin Up annual catalog.  I modified the stamped image by adding a punched  tree to cover up the flower that the koala is holding.  I also covered up the thinking of you sentiment with a Christmas sentiment.  The koala was colored in with the Stampin Up blendabilities. I added a piece of Cherry Cobbler striped ribbon  and mats and added it to a card base textured with the wood grain folder.2014_12_12IMG_4715
