I have always been in awe of the Saguaro cactus. Known for its tall, branching shape, the saguaro is a true icon of the Arizona desert. We will be vacationing in AZ soon and I can’t wait to see the “cactus with arms”. So when I received this card from Cammie I was over the moon with all it’s glory. Cammie used the direct to paper method to create the Arizona landscape and the saguaro cacti were stamped using the Stampin Up Yee-Haw #138107 stamp set.

When the weather is so cold so Cammie warmed up with a heat gun and embossed the Stampin Up Ornamental Pines #135107 (now retired) stampset. The Brr sentiment is from the Snowflakes Card Thinlits die #135855 and aligned along a strip of All is Calm Washi tape#135844 bordered with a pieces of 1/8 inch silver ribbon #132137.
This card is all about the shaving cream technique that uses Stampin Up re-inkers and shaving cream to create the ocean waves. The miniature Titanic was stamped from the Stampin Up Traveler #134513 stampset and then hand cut out and placed on the waves. The sun was stamped using the Kinda Eclectic #135350 stampset to create this all purpose and mostly masculine card.
Today’s post is a double the fun post and are the same layout but swapped out the Designer Series paper and color scheme. The background was textured with the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #133739 from the Stampin Up annual catalog. I then punched 3/4 inch whisper white circles using the Stampin Up 3/4″ circle punch #119873 and glued them onto the textured circles. I added a strip of scrap DSP, 1 1/4″ burlap ribbon #132140 and the Natural Chevron ribbon #132982. For the sentiment, I cut 2 sizes of the Deco Label #130102 and stamped the sentiments.
Cammie loves to combine multiple stamp sets and dies to create her cards. For today’s post features the Stampin Up Making Spirits Bright #135086 stamp set that is no longer available. She used the Stampin Up stamp-a-ma-jig #101049 to perfectly align the cocktails and the HAPPY HAPPY sentiment from the Happy Winter stamp set that is no longer available. She completed the card by adding the Little Letters Thinlits #133730 for the birthday card.
Cammie was inspired by the sample in the all new Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration catalog using the adorable Happy Thing stamp set #139134 to create her large kraft journals #137865 from the all new Stampin Up occasions catalog.
The Sale-A-Bration is always a fun time of year at Stampin Up because you can earn free products from the Sale-A-Bration catalog for every $50 spent in regular merchandise from either the Stampin Up annual catalog or the Occasions catalog.
The hardest thing about today’s post is finding the Jiffy Pop popcorn. I saw this sometime ago on Pinterest and decided to make it for a Christmas treat for a friend. No stamping just cutting and punching. To make the face, I carefully opened the popcorn and removed the jiffy pop cover. I traced the circle and hand cut out the white face and adhered it to the Jiffy Pop cover. Then added the face and hand cut the hat with brim.
The Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration is in full swing and runs from Jan 6- March 31, 2015. Check out the Sale-A-Bration catalog to see what products you can earn for free with each $50 in merchandise spend in the Stampin Up annual catalog or the all new Stampin Up Occasions catalog.
For today’s card post, I used the Lotus Blossom #139143 polymer stamp set to create this multi step flower using 1 color of ink. The Lotus panel was mounted on the Stampin Up Park Lane DSP#133694 and accented with a piece of Blackberry Bliss 3/8″ satin stitched ribbon #133668.
Today our beloved Ohio State Buckeyes take on the Oregon Ducks in the inaugural CFP National Championship game in Dallas. So I thought a card with lots of horseshoes and western flair using the Yee Haw polymer stampset #138107 would be fitting for a Buckeye National Championship win.
Go Buckeyes….. Bring home the Big trophy!
