Todays card is a layer intensive layout and features some sweet but retired Best Year Ever DSP that was available during Stampin Up’s annual sale-a-bration campaign. All layers were matted on Early Espresso cardstock. I added coordinating ribbon and then added the sentiment from the Best Day Ever stamp set.

I have always been a fan of pretty paper and the 2014-2015 Stampin Up catalog had some of my favorites yet. Just a few more days for you to get the wonderful DSP before the Stampin Up 2015-2016 annual catalog goes live with new DSP. Check out the retirement list to see all the stamps, paper and embellishments that will be gone forever on June 2nd.
Today’s post is a simple card that Cammie made that features the Yee-Haw photopolymer stamp set from Stampin Up. Cammie created the barbed wire background using the image from the now retired Yee-Haw set. She added the sentiments and matted them word bubbles cut using the Word Bubble framelits #132968.
The word bubbles are on the Stampin Up retiring list and are also discounted so be sure to check the retiring list and get your stuff before June 2nd or it will be gone for good.
I love everything about birthdays and send out many birthday cards every year so I am always in need of birthday cards. Todays post is one that I made that features the Confetti Celebration DSP #133692 from Stampin Up. The bright dots in the background scream birthday and I then created the multi candle layer by randomly stamping candles from the Best Day Ever (now retired) stampset in coordinating bright inks. I cut the banner using the banner element from the Mini Treat Bag thinlits #137547 and added a piece of Tangelo Twist Satin Ribbon #133669. The featured panel is stamped using the Best Day Ever stampset and matted in strawberry slush to create a fun and cheerful birthday card.
The Confetti Celebration DSP is one of many items on the Stampin Up retirement list. Be sure to check out the list and stock up before your favorites are gone for good.
Today’s post makes me happy. I really love this sweet bird in the Stampin Up A Happy Thing stampset (no longer available). This stamp was one of the sale-a-bration items and it just is a fun bird to work with. I added a piece of the soon to be retiring Birthday Bash DSP #137783 and added a sentiment from the now retired Feel Goods stampset.
Be sure to check out the Stampin Up retired list to get the Birthday Bash DSP and other Stampin Up products that will no longer be available after June 2nd.

For those of you wanting more Christmas posts and were waiting for the post on the 25th todays post is for you. I had to post my sisters birthday card yesterday on the 25th of May so this month the Christmas post was delayed. This card is absolutely adorable and designed by Cammie. I love the non traditional color scheme that Cammie used. The smoky slate background was created using the Stampin Up Hearts and Stars decorative Mask #133777 and whisper white craft ink. The top border was created using the Confetti Stars Border Punch #135861. Cammie used a piece of Tangelo Twist ribbon #133669 on the tag and on the card front to separate the base from the star border. The Island Indigo tag was created using the Stampin Up Tag Topper Scalloped Punch #133324 and then she used her circle punches to create the whimsical snowman.
A great big birthday shout out to our baby sister Blair and a happy Memorial Day to everyone! Since it is memorial day and Blair’s birthday I thought a stars and stripes card would be perfect for the day. The starts and stripes panel started out as the Stampin Up Irresistibly Yours DSP that was part of the Sale-a-bration and no longer available but good news, the new catalog has the resist paper with different designs. I used a brayer to color the stars and stripes and then added the sentiment from the Stampin Up Bravo photopolymer stamp set #135380.
Today I am posting 2 cards in 1 post featuring the Stampin Up Adventure Bound DSP paper stack # 137780
that is currently available in the Stampin Up Occasions catalog. The Adventure Bound DSP has 48 sheets of 4 each of 12 double-sided designs of 4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ paper and are great for card fronts or backgrounds. There are no delicate flowers or soft colors with this DSP; instead the DSP is bold spirited graphics are and the right choice for making Father’s Day, graduation, or other masculine projects. . Both cards also feature the now retired A Happy Thing Sale-a-Bration stamp set.
Both cards have similar layouts and crop the bird in a circle. The card on the left uses the soon to be retired Starburst Framelits #132967 for the bird to perch on top of the woodgrain DSP while the card on the right the circle is cut into the birch tree and the bird is nesting inside. For the sentiment I used the soon to be retiring stamp set, Lots of Thanks #129687.
Today’s post is featuring a guest designer, Sherry Rider from Westerville Ohio. Sherry created a beautiful sympathy card showcasing the Blended Bloom #135906 wood mount single stamp. As luck would have it the Blended Bloom stamp will be available in the new 2015-2016 Stampin Up catalog that is available starting on June 2nd. For added detail Sherry added a banner and doily to soften the color scheme.
