sheer perfection butterflies

2015_05_16IMG_7121 I loved the now retired Sheer perfection vellum that was available during sale-a-bration and I especially loved the butterfly piece.  I made today’s post for a friend in the hospital.  I started with a garden green base and used the Stampin Up Dots and Stripes decorative masks #133775 and daubered the dots to make a monochromatic background. I colored the wrong sided of the strip of butterfly vellum with stampin write markers and then added a piece of whisper white behind it to make the butterflies pop! I added a mat of pool party cardstock.  For the banner, I used the Stampin Up Party Pennants Die #133732 and added a sentiment from the lovely amazing you photopolymer stampset #140594. Finally I added a Papillion Potpourri Butterfly #123759 that was stamped on a clear transparency sheet in Stazon Ink and then colored in and punched out with the Elegant Butterfly punch #127526.

The Stampin Up Party Pennants Die is one of the many accessories that is on the retirement list and will not be available after June 2nd or while supplies last.  Be sure to check out the Stampin Up Retirement List  to see all the stamps and accessories that will be gone soon.
