Monthly Archives: June 2015
Continuing the posts this month by clearing out the old Stampin Up products to make room for the more fun stuff in the all new Stampin Up 2015-2016 annual catalog. Todays card features the now retired Maritime DSP that I coupled with the Guy Greetings stamp set #137178. This card is masculine in nature but the sentiment works for anyone in your life.
It’s fathers day so I could not resist making a 2nd post today to honor all the dads in our lives. This post is super adorable and is the packaging for Cammies June workshop featuring all masculine cards that you have seen over the past few days and the Stampin Up manly papers that were available in the Adventure Bound DSP paper stack. As with most of Cammie’s fantastic designs, she brayered the mountains and daubered the grassy land. She used the Stampin Up Wood You Be Mine (now retired) stamp set to stamp the lumberjack. She then colored him in and peeked him behind a wood beam made using the Hardwood Background Stamp #133032.
What a fun way to package a masculine workshop! I plan to repurpose the packaging and remove the panel to make into a masculine card.
Happy Father’s Day! Today’s post is a fun play on words using the Stampin Up Guy Greetings #138828 stampset. For the background I used the Typeset DSP#133704 to give the classic cars an even more vintage look. The sentiment is also from the Guy Greetings and his hand cut into a banner. I added the star strip cut from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit #137547 and anchored the strips with a punched gear (retired punch) and a star.
The Stampin Up World Map Background Stamp #130345 is the focus of this masculine card. Cammie distressed the background of this card using the Gorgeous Grunge #130517 to give the overall look of the card a vintage feel. She then layered the stamped world map securing it with Washi Tape and then added the sentiment from the Adventure Awaits stamp set (no longer available).
No matter where your travels take you, the vintage feel of the World Map stamp will make you feel like Magellan charting a new course to a far-off destination. Perfect for travel projects or just to give a vintage vibe, you’ll love where this image takes you.
The background DSP and the hand cut banner are from the Stampin Up Maritime (now retired) DSP. The sentiment is from the Adventure Awaits (now retired) stamp set and then cut into a circle using the Stampin Up Circles Collection Framelits #130911. Cammie added the embossed Anchor from the Guy Greetings #137178 stamp set.
Today’s post is another masculine card that shows that a simple piece of Stampin Up’s now retired Adventure Bound DSP paired with the sentiment from the Adventure Awaits stamp set (also not available) can make a powerful statement.
I was so happy that Stampin Up carried the Guy Greetings # 137178 stamp set over from the occasions catalog to the 2015-2016 annual catalog. I ordered early and then never used it so yay I can show off some manly cards just in time for Fathers Day!
Today’s card is a card that I made for a friends birthday. Wadded hen I saw this man in the Guy Greetings set, it reminded me of him. I am so proud of him because he has lost so much weight and is super fit just like this dude.
For the card I started with the a piece of Typeset DSP #133704 and then added the strip of burlap ribbon #132140 and a strip of starts cut using the accent from the Mini Treat bag Thinlit #137547. I added a textured circle an to rest my stamp and hand cut man and the banner.
I am trying to clear out my DSP collection from the last Stampin Up annual catalog to make room for the gorgeous new DSP in the current 2015-2016 annual catalog. For these 2 cards, I used the same layout and the same Stampin Up Flower Pot DSP just different patterns. To create the peek a boo butterfly window I used the Butterfly Thinlit dies # 137360. The small butterfly has an open design that allows you to place it where you want for precise cutting and perfect for this design. Here are close up views:
