When the 2015-2016 Stampin Up annual catalog came out, The Over the Rainbow # 138770 Photopolymer stamp set was on the top of my list but I still have not ordered it. The sky’s the limit with this stamp set. This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set, which gives you so many creative options–combine individual stamps to build the final image you want in the colors you want. Build a rainbow or clouds with the brush stroke stamp, stamp colorful splotches over words, or make a sun peek out from behind a cloud.
After seeing what Cammie has done with this set (including today’s post), I will need to reprioritize my wish list to fit this set in. Do you have a favorite Stampin Up set that you have post poned ordering? If so leave a comment.
The Going Places product suite is my favorite in the current Stampin Up Occasions catalog. It has helped me build up my masculine card inventory but I just love all it all works together. I stated out by using the World Traveler #138289 TIEF to texture the card base layer. All the paper in the Going Places #140581 are fantastic so I just cut strips of 4 of them to create a collage and then added the stamped images from the Going Global #140745 stamp set. I finished by adding some punched stars to compliment the sentiment.
A great BIG birthday shout out to our beautiful niece Alexandra who is officially legal today. So 21 years old? Why such a baby card for a 21 year old? I went with the Disney themed birthday for her card because she is saving up her money and Disney gift cards so that she and her boyfriend can experience the Magic Kingdom after this semester in college.
Please note…. I made this card prior to owning the Balloon Bouquet Punch #140609 which would have been a perfect choice for making the iconic balloons. Instead, I used the Stampin Up 1″ #119868 and 1/2″ #119869 circle punches and attached them to a piece of Black and White bakers twine. The DSP is from the retired brights polka dot set and the Go Wild #138441 DSP paper stack.
Hope your birthday and trip are both magical.
I wanted to clear out some of my old and retired kiwi kiss paper so I decided to use the now retired The Sky is the Limit stamp set from Stampin Up to randomly stamp the planes all over the card front. The sentiment was stamped and then cut it out using a Chalk Talk Framelits die #129983. Perfect almost one layer masculine card which is rare for me but the USPS will be happy!
Since we started doing this blog I have learned a lot from my followers and the thing I hear the most is that it is never to late or early to have Christmas cards ready for the coming year. So each month I continue to post at least one Christmas card on the 25th of each month until it is closer to Christmas and then I post more often. This beauty is one of Cammie’s winter white cards featuring the Festive Flower Builder Punch #119857. Each white layer is either glimmered or textured and then the flower is made using multiple layers of the punched image. Below is an alternative design that simply substitutes the all new Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper #140550and for the bottom layer and sentiment. Something so simple can change the whole look!
I went back to the basics for todays card. I just wanted a simple layout and nothing but cardstock and punches. I just love the all new Botanicials Builders Framelits Dies #140625 from Stampin Up so I combined several of the flowers and leaves to stack as a cluster and added it to the leaf edge that I created using the leaf border in the Botanicals collection. For the sentiment I used the Teeny Tiny Wishes #128748 stamp set and then punched it out using the Word Window #119857 punch and then matted it on a Modern Label (now retired). I used different sentiments to create a variety of cards to have on hand for any occasion.
A great big birthday shout out to my sweet and dear friend Belinda. I used the complete Love Blossoms Product Suite. For the background, I used the Love Blossoms DSP paper stack #140548. I then pulled out the companion products including the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit #140551, the Bloomin Love #140643 stamp set and the coordinating Bloomin Heart #140621 Thinliets dies to layer an abundant of flowers and sequins on the pre cut gold heart. The sentiment is from the Stampin Up Teeny Tiny Wishes # 128748 stamp set to create the beautiful birthday card.
For todays post I paired 2 of the no longer available Stampin Up Sale-a-bration items to make a masculine birthday card. Both the Sky’s the Limit and the Perfectly Artistic DSP work together to send the perfect message to our niece’s boyfriend Austin who is celebrating his 22nd birthday today. To put this card over the limit, I added a vellum propeller attached with a mini brad.
Not an artist? With the Picture Perfect #140520 Stampin Up Photopolymer stamp set, you can be! Use it to make beautiful cards that let someone know you’re thinking of them. Give a card that expresses your thanks, encouragement, or love. The Picture Perfect stamp set is a Two-Step Stampin’ set. Combine individual stamps to build the final image you want in the colors you want just like Cammie did with this gorgeous starfish card. It is truly breathtaking!
Today’s card is a great Thank you card featuring the retired Wonderland stamp set from Stampin Up. For the sentiment, Cammie used gold embossing powder to make the message stand out. This card is sized to fit in a standard business size envelope and it is fun to switch the card sizes up from time to time.
