Today is a bittersweet day. It is the last day to get any items from the 2015-2016 Stampin Up annual catalog or the Stampin Up Occasions catalog before the new 2016-2017 annual catalog goes live tomorrow. For today’s card post I am featuring 2 of my favorite things from the occasions catalog that will not be carried over. The Shine On DSP and the Enjoy the Little Things stamp set will be gone but not forgotten.
Today’s post is a simple layout featuring the Stampin Up Balloon Celebration #140675 on the main panel that Cammie brayered for the sky. The balloon was stamped and then punched using the coordinating Balloon Bouquet punch #140609 The sentiment is also from the Balloon Celebration stamp set/
Happy birthday to my Mother In Law, Marilynn. When I saw the Stampin Up Shine On #140579 DSP and the Sparkle and Shine #140730stamp set I knew that I would be making a a card for her with these two products. Marilyn loves all that sparkles and usually can be seen wearing a shirt with bling so this is the perfect card for her. I drew my inspiration from the sample in the occasions catalog for the tag. I added the tag to the card front along with a strip of coordinating DSP or cardstock and a strip of the glimmer Washi tape (retired). I added rhinestones and sequins to bling it up and give the card the right amount of sparkle! Happy birthday Marilynn!
Today’s post is a simple design with a “Hole” lot of impact! Cammie used a variation of a watercolor technique with her Stampin Up re-inkers to create the tye-dyed effect. She punched various sizes of holes to the top panel and added the sentiment from the retiring Stampin Up Hostess stamp set- Love You Sew #140640 to create this simple and fun thank you card.
I know that you have seen the Q-Tip sheep before but I could not resist posting it on a birthday card. Cammie used the soon to be retired Have a Cuppa #140567 DSP paper stack. The sheep was made using a punch of Q-Tips and she hand wrote the sentiment onto a Washi Tape Punched Piece. Super Q and special birthday card that needs special handling if mailing it!
I was supposed to post a Christmas card yesterday since it was the 25th of the month but that conflicted with Blair’s birthday so today is the day. This card is one of Cammie’s Christmas beauties. She textured the background with the retired Stampin Up Boughs and Berries Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. For the layered focal piece she started with a label cut from the Lots of Labels Framelits #138281 and then Stamped the image from the Stampin Up An Open Heart #134999; she then added the cut the letters out using retired set. The poinsettia was stamped from the Reason For the Season #139730 stamp set.
Be sure to check out the Retired products on the Stampin Up retirement list. All products on the list will not be available beyond May 31st.
Since it is Blair’s birthday, I think it is only fair to share her creativity. She made this fantastic pizza box for my son and mailed it to his dorm for his birthday. It was definitively a hit!
