Have a Humerus Halloween

Happy Halloween! Today’s post are 2 cards done using the same  Stampin Up stamp set- Mr. Funny Bones #142245.  For Cammie’s design (the one on the left), she used non traditional Halloween color scheme and a piece of now retired DSP for her background.  She then stamped each image from the Mr. Funny Bones stampset, cut them out and then pieced them together except for the right arm.

My Mr. Funny Bones card is on the right and is a more traditional in Halloween color combo and features the Halloween Night #142022 DSP.  I created the panel and individually stamped the image to build my Mr. Funny Bones and accented his humerus in pumpkin pie to showcase the fun sentiment.

Ghoulish Friends

The beauty of pinterest, blogs, and other websites allows us to be inspired by creations of other stampers.  Without knowing it, both Cammie and must have seen the same concept with for using the Stampin Up Jar of Haunts #142247 stampset.  Cammie’s card is on the left and mine is on the right.  We also both used the Ghoulish Grunge #142238 to add just enough ghastly grunge to the background for our jar of haunts friends.

So many haunting jars

I drew the inspiration for this Halloween card from the mini treat bag on pg 55 of the Stampin Up holiday catalog.  I just stamped the jars from the Jar of Haunts #142247 and then went to town coloring them with my Copic markers to fill the jars with just enough  spookiness for the Halloween season.

Pile O’ Pumpkins

Today’s card is another sweet and non scary Halloween card for my scaredy cat family and friends.  I added a wide strip of DSP from the Stampin Up Playful Palette DSP paper stack #141657 and a smaller strip from the Stampin Up Halloween Night Specialty DSP #142022. I then stamped 4 pumpkins from the Jar of Haunts #142247 stampset.  The top pumpkin is trimmed on both sides and a jack o lantern face added to add some fun to the pile of pumpkins. The stem and sentiment were also from the Jar of Haunts set.

Happy #26

Today marks my 26th wedding anniversary. BIG occasions need BIG numbers so that is why I chose the Number of Years photopolymer #140653 stamp set and coordinating Large Numbers Framelits #140622 to mark my big day.

Halloween Night

Last weekend I took a fabulous class offered Julie Robinson of  The Inkredibles, fellow Stampin Up demonstrator.  We made the witches hat and the fantastic decorative Halloween trays.  Both projects featured the Halloween Night Specialty DSP #142022 and the Spooky Fun #142236 with the coordinating Halloween Scenes Edgelits#141842 from the Stampin Up holiday catalog.  The decorative tray also features the Sweet Home #140936 and the coordinating Home Sweet Home Thinlits #140279.

I added a headband to my hat to make it wearable for Trick or Treat Night.

Flourish This Christmas

Taking a break from posting fall and halloween cards and because it is the 25th of the month so it’s time for a Christmas card. The stunning  THis Christmas DSP #141628 from the Stampin Up annual catalog is so gorgeous that I wanted to showcase it.   I added a strip of retired ribbon, a piece of coordinating This Christmas DSP  and a strip cut from the Flourish Thinlits #141478. I created the poinsettia by stamping the image from the now retired Watercolor Winter and then hand cut the flower.  I added leaves cut from the Flourish Thinlits and popped the pointsettia on top of the 3 strips to make a stunning Christmas card.

Pumpkin Poop

2016_10_24Today’s post is a quick and easy treat that Blair made in mass for her office.  She just printed out the poem and then used the corner rounders to finish the edges.  She filled the gusseted cellophane bags #141704 with candy corn and then attached the poem to the bag with a piece of festive ribbon.

Welcome to the Pumpkin patch

Every year when I make Halloween cards I have to include a design that is not too scary for my friends that are afraid of ghosts and such. Today’s card is one of my not so spooky cards.  I used the all new and fabulous Cable Knit #143537 Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from Stampin Up. The Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders take embossing to the next level, with deeper, more detailed impressions than standard embossing folders—great for card fronts and accents.  You must try it for yourself.

For the main panel I stamped the pumpkins from Jar of Haunts #142247 stamp set from the Stampin Up holiday catalog. I hand cut each pumpkin and then placed it on the card panel. I used a mask to sponge around the edges. The sentiment is also from the Jar of Haunts. I matted the panel on a piece of DSP from the Halloween Night DSP #142022.
