Today’s card will be the final card for the Christmas in July card showcase and is my favorite card I have made for the holidays this year so far and was a real pain to prep for my workshop because of all the pieces. The card features all new products in the Stampin Up 2017-2018 holday catalog including the Be Merry DSP #144111 and the Coffee Cafe’ #143677 stamp set and the coordinating Coffee Cups Framelits #143745. I adorned each cup with a snowflake cut using the Seasonal Layers #143751 Thinlits. The sentiment is from the retired Jar of Cheer stamp set.

I have struggled with coming up with cards for my Christmas in July workshop this year and I can’t figure out why. Heck this time last year, I had all my Christmas cards designed and ready to go. Hopefully once the new Stampin Up holiday catalog comes out I will be re-inspired and finish up my 2017 cards. I have seen a sneak peek of the new catalog and it is fabulous especially the fall and Halloween products. The new catalog goes live on Sept 1 so stay tuned.
In the meantime, today’s card is a fun design that uses the Warmth and Cheer DSP from last year. I texture the right hand side using the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I hid the seam using a piece of retired cherry cobbler satin ribbon. For the holly leaves, I got creative with the Vintage Leaves #138802 stamp set and the coordinating Leaflets Framelits dies #138283 from Stampin Up. I used a 1/2 inch circle punch and red glimmer paper to make the berries. For the sentiment, I added a simple greeting from the Teeny Tiny Wishes #128748 and hand cut into a banner.
Today’s card is one that I did for my Christmas in July workshop over the weekend. For this card I featured the all new Be Merry DSP #144111 from the Stampin Up 2017-2018 annual catalog and the Seasonal Bells #142107 stamp set that was carried over from last years Stampin Up holiday catalog
Speaking of holiday catalogs, I have had a sneak peek of the upcoming Stampin Up catalog and will be placing my pre-order on August 1st. The holiday catalog is packed full of lots of exciting stuff.
I love to use stamps for other than what they were intended to be used for. I did that with today’s card. I used the Bunch of Blossoms #141573 stamp set and the coordinating Blossom Builder punch #141469 from Stampin Up to make the layers for the tree. I added a tree trunk using the Classic Label punch (Retired), The tree was placed on a piece of Sending Love DSP (retired) from Stampin Up. I dressed the tree up with punched heart and some gold twine and a gold glimmering star to complete this festive card to feature at my Christmas in July workshop.
For today’s Christmas in July card I started out with a plaid piece of DSP from the now retired Warmth and Cheer DSP paper stack from Stampin Up, I cut 2 Stitched Shapes Framelits #145372 and added the sentiment from the Greetings From Santa retired stampset. The list was stamped, hand cut and placed just below the sentiment. To complete the card, I added a sweet twine bow.
Today’s Christmas In July card is one that Cammie made that features the now retired Jar of Cheer stamp set. The candle image is cut with the Layering Circles #141705 Framelits and added to a gold metallic circle mat cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits #145372 onto a stamped ray image. Cammie completed the card by adding the sentiment from the Stampin Up Christmas Pines #142049 stampset.
I brought the look of the outdoors inside with these natural, rustic patterns in the Wood Textures DSP papet stack from Stampin Up #144177. So many designs, so many colors, so many uses. Fronts and backs are similar grains and colors for ideal use in die cutting. I combined 2 patterns for todays card and embossed the sentiment from the Colorful Seasons #143726 stampset to create the sign.
From time to time, I like to use products that have not been used in awhile. Today’s card is just that! I was reorganizing my embellishments and came across this suite of long retired Washi Tape and went to town creating the card base with layers of tape. I added a sentiment and a little punch and had a quick and cute card!
Today’s post is another one of the cards I made using the now retired Perfect Mix stamp set from Stampin Up. I hand cut each image and placed it so that it looked like a table complete with a cute table cloth. The sentiment is so true!
