Birthday Card Party Parade

It’s time to wrap up my birth month and month long birthday card posting so today I am posting the hand made cards that I received for my birthday from the very creative people in my life.  It means so much to receive a card or greeting but to get a hand made card means even more because of the time and creativity that goes into each one. So here is the hand made birthday card parade.

Birthday Cake for 1

When I ran across the single serve cakes in a cup I bought a box of 4 of every flavor and then went to town on the creative packaging complete with a candle wrapped around the ribbon. I used the Stampin Up acetate card boxes and tucked a cake packet inside with some shredded paper.  I wrapped a piece of It’s My Party DSP  (retired) around the box and tied it with a piece of ribbon and a candle.  I then created the accent piece by brayering  the backside of the now retired foil snowflake doily with melon mambo ink.  The stamped image is from the now retired See Ya Later stamp stamp set

Triple Pineapple Birthday Card

2018_03_29IMG_3125 For today’s card, I started out using the fabulous Tutti-Frutti cards from the Stampin Up Sale-a-Bration catalog.  I added a strip of Crumb Cake cardstock that I textured using the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that is also available as a bundled item #147504 in the Sale-a-Bration catalog. I used the Fruit Basket #145833stamp set in the Occasions catalog.  I punched the pineapples out using the coordinating Itty Bitty Fruit Punches #145657.  I placed the pineapples and the sentiment on a Stitched Shapes Circle to create a fun and easy birthday card,

Simply Amazing

2018_03_28IMG_3117 Today’s card is the first one that I made testing out my Stamparatus -Stampin’ Up!’s brand-new stamp placement tool. This handy little tool will change the way you stamp when it becomes available to all customers in June.  I used the Amazing You #147215 stamp set and the coordinating Celebrate You #146840 Thinlits.  Both products are available as free items in the Sale-a-Bration catalog with a qualifying purchase.  Sale-a-Bration ends on March 31st so time is running out to take advantage of these great deals.  I added a glimmered scallop edge using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits #143751.  This card is just stunning!

Icing on the cake

I have to be honest when I first saw the Icing on the Cake #143664 stamp set in the Stampin Up 2017-2018 annual catalog I thought why would anyone ever want that set.  Then I started seeing what creative ideas people were coming up with that I decided to order it along with the Hand Lettering #143744 alphabet stamp set.  I made a cake using the Half Wide Stamp Cases #127552 and decorated the top and sides to look like a custom made bakery cake.  I used the stamp set to create 5 cards and envelopes to tuck inside the box.  It turned out super cute and proves that there is hope for every stamp set in the catalog!

Guilt Free Birthday Card

Starting the last full week of birthday cards for birth month with today’s guilt free birthday card. This is a fun fold interactive card that features the fun loving Birthday Wit #145753 Stampin Up stamp set and the perfect card for someone with a sense of humor. To achieve the look, I stamped the sentiment 4 times and then cut away the words and layered them on top of the main piece.  I added a handle that allows the sentiment to flip open to reveal the yummy piece of cake DSP from the Picture Perfect Party #145559 DSP.  The cake panel also flips open to allow for a birthday note or another sentiment.

Hearts Come Home

Today because it is the 25th of the month, I am taking a break from posting my month of all things birthday to post a gorgeous Christmas card that Cammie made featuring the Hometown Greetings Edgelits #144671 from Stampin Up.  Cammie created a festive village fun old card.  The sentiment is from the coordinating Hearts Come Home stamp set #145416. What a beautiful card to receive during the Christmas card season.
