Today’s post is my stab a a stepped up card. They both featured the now retired Botanical Butterfly DSP from Stampin Up and the soon to be retired Life is Grand #148744 stamp set. For the stepped up version on the right I added an additional layer of Gingham Gala #148554 DSP and punched out butterflies from the DSP using the Butterfly Duet punch.
For today’s card I chose to create a focal piece using the soon to be retired Amazing Life #148750 stamp set from Stampin Up. For the background I combined a piece of the Happiness Blooms #148795 DSP with a card from the Happiness Blooms Memories and More Card Pack #148531.
For today’s card I created a monochromatic background using various shades of Stampin Up cardstock and textured them with the soon to be retired Dot to Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #148533. Used the retired Oh Hoppy Day and coordinating Hop Around Framelits for the frog and lily pad. The Stitched Shapes circle anchors the frog. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings #146667 stamp set. For the tongue I simply cut a thin strip of Poppy Parade cardstock and rolled the end to catch the stamped fly.
Today’s card is a simple matchbox that Cammie made featuring the soon to be retiring 25 Again #148796 Stampin Up stamp set.
My monthly Christmas card post is a day late because I had to pay tribute to my baby sister who had a milestone birthday yesterday. I love this card so much and plan to make it again using traditional Christmas colors. I used circle punches for the nose and heads. The hats are made using the cupcake dome framelit from the retired cupcake cutout dies. The pool party hat is textured with the Cable Knit Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #143537. The striped hat is cut from a piece of the soon to be retired How Sweet It Is #148568 Stampin Up DSP. I added the ruffle using the scalloped edge framelit from the Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies #148527. The sentiment is from the Well Said # 148796 and coordinating Well Written Framelits #148534
I wanted to make a bright and fun card for my sisters 50th birthday and I think I succeeded. I used the now retired Hello Cupcake stamp set and the coordinating Cupcake framelits to make this card. I started out with a unique fun fold card using the soon to be retiring How Sweet It is DSP and then began layering the cupcakes one on top of the other to make a big cupcake!
