Mothers Day card and treat

Happy Mothers Day to all moms!  What a rewarding job it is to be a mother.  Today I made a card and a matching mothers Day treat using my favorite Stampin Up bundle – The Apron of Love #145986 from the Occasions Catalog that will be carried over in the 2018-2019 Stampin Up annual catalog but it will not be bundled so get it before June 1st and save 10 percent. I used the Tutti- Frutti DSP #145606 to create the Aprons on both the card and the nugget treat holder.

OH-IO

Congratulations to the class of 2018 at The Ohio State University which just so happens to include my son!  He graduates today with a BS in Materials Science & Engineering degree.  He worked hard and graduated in 4 years which is quite a feat for an engineering student especially at OSU.  To commemorate his degree I the OH-IO book fold book from an old text book.  How firm thy friendship……. OHIO!

Book folding vase

2018_05_01IMG_3221 I have found a new love!  The love of book folding.  Today’s post is one of my favorite pieces yet.  It started out as an old encyclopedia and then it turned into a vase of beautiful flowers. It is a perfect addition for a mantle or shelf and can be completed in just a few short hours.  The flowers were hand made using recycled color flyers and adhered with a glue gun,  I added the leaves cut from the flyer with the  Leaflets Framelit.

Happy National Beer Day

2018_04_07Beerday20180210_183809 Happy National Beer Day! Leave it to Blair to come up with a cute gift idea for one of her beer loving friends.  She simply added butterscotch and lifesavers to a beer stein from her local cinema.  Bottoms Up!

Birthday Cake for 1

When I ran across the single serve cakes in a cup I bought a box of 4 of every flavor and then went to town on the creative packaging complete with a candle wrapped around the ribbon. I used the Stampin Up acetate card boxes and tucked a cake packet inside with some shredded paper.  I wrapped a piece of It’s My Party DSP  (retired) around the box and tied it with a piece of ribbon and a candle.  I then created the accent piece by brayering  the backside of the now retired foil snowflake doily with melon mambo ink.  The stamped image is from the now retired See Ya Later stamp stamp set

Sweet Treats

To close out Feb postings, I am sharing the adorable sweet heart treats I made using my favorite DSP from the Stampin Up Occasions Catalog, Painted With Love #145580.  The treats were simple to construct to fit 5 Dove chocolate hearts to slip inside the Stampin Up 2″X8″ cellophane bags #141703.

Happy Birthday Project class

2018_02_04IMG_0679  A little birdie told me that you are in  need of a stamp set for all of the occasions in your life. Today’s post is the creative packing that Cammie used for her January workshop that featured the Bird Banter #145852 stamp set from the Stampin Up Occasions catalog. The beautiful Painted with Love DSP #145580 was the perfect pick for a fun loving birthday workshop and made the Happy Birthday Thinlit #143700 image pop! That was one Smart birdie if I do say so myself!
