I made this birthday sampler for my friend Karen who loves celebrating birthdays even more than me. She is an avid decorator and today is her birthday. This sampler fits in a 12×12 Shadow box and was based on the How Sweet It Is #148568 DSP from Stampin Up. This DSP paper along with all the other DSP and other Stampin Up products will be retiring on June 3rd. I also used the Birthday Cheer #148604 , Hello Cupcake (retired) Itty Bitty Greetings #148604 stamp sets.
Well April is over and we turn the calendar page to May. It’s my embellished calendar page featuring the Abstract Impressions #147513 and the retiring Detailed Dragonfly #142749 Thinlits from Stampin Up. I added some Gold Faceted Gems #144141 to the pre-printed flowers.
During the purging process of my craft studio I uncovered a lot of treasures. I found several blank note pads and decided to use the Amazing Life #148750 Stampin Up stamp set to decorate all the sides of the note pad. I just stamped the images and then used the Stampin Write markers to color in the flowers.
I also found these bare fry containers that I used to decorate for my friend who loves Cheez-its. I used the Amazing Life stamp setand then modified it to add my hand written banner. I added a butterfly from the Butterfly Beauty #151819 Thinlits. I added a bag of cheez-its and tied with ribbon for the perfect packaging.
Birth month is over and I have flipped the calendar to April so now I am back to my normal postings rather than daily birthday posts! Today’s post is the calendar page I altered for my friends calendar that I made her. It features the Stampin Up Beautiful You #143637 stamp set. To add texture I used the cloud mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks the and the Shimmery Embossing Paste #145645 to create the clouds.
For today’s birthday post I have opted to show an easy birthday gift idea that holds gift cards or other small items and then folds up and is tied with a cute ribbon. This gift card holder features the Broadway Bound DSP #146277 from Stampin Up.
When I saw this treat box on fellow demonstrator Erica Cerwin’s facebook live I knew I had to recreate it. The worst part is that I could not find the Hostess limited edition Mint Chocolate cupcakes in 3 counties in Central Ohio grocery stores so I ended up using the traditional chocolate cupcakes. The box is made with a pull out drawer to hold the cupcake. The leprechaun is pieced using Stampin Up punches and the Hello Cupcake #149714 Sale-a-Bration stamp set and the sold out Call Me Cupcake Framelits. The background DSP is from the Happiness Blooms #148795 Paper collection and the sentiment is from the Amazing Life #148750 Stampin Up set.
I made the leprechaun as a plant stick for a Shamrock plant which turned out super cute too!
I made this cute gift box using 1/2 of an acetate card box #144628 from Stampin Up. I added an insert from the Broadway Bound DSP #146277 that folds over an closes with a velcro spot. I added shredded packaging and the little gifts and a gift card to create a fun gift.
