Build me up

2017_08_26IMG_2239 One of my favorite things to do with stamp sets that I love is to randomly stamp images from stamp sets to create my own unique background paper.  That’s exactly what I did for today’s post. I used most of the images from the now retired Nailed It stamp set to create the background.  I colored all the images with my Copic markers and then added the washer and sentiment using the coordinating Builder Framelits (also retired) from Stampin Up.  The best part about doing a card this way is no two are alike!!

Wood Textures Manly card

2017_07_24IMG_2344I brought the look  of the outdoors inside with these natural, rustic patterns in the Wood Textures DSP papet stack from Stampin Up #144177. So many designs, so many colors, so many uses. Fronts and backs are similar grains and colors for ideal use in die cutting. I combined 2 patterns for todays card and embossed the sentiment from the Colorful Seasons #143726 stampset to create the sign.

Just Beachy

2017_07_06IMG_0500 Today’s post is another all purpose card using the Stampin Up High Tide #143006 stamp set.  This card is gorgeous and one of Cammies exclusive brayered designs and a tribute card to her retirement in Galveston TX from Tulsa.  I think she will get used to her new way of life!

High Tide Shining Bright

2017_06_30 It has been a long time since I created a single layer card with nothing but stamping and ink.  No embellishments and no framelits just back to the basics for me. To complete the task, I used the High Tide #143006 stamp set to make cards for my son to have on hand.  Completing this card reminded me of why I took up stamping to begin with!  Beautiful images can be created with just stamps and ink. I was so happy with how it turned out that I have made so many other cards with this set that will post in the days to come.

Hammer Down

2017_06_18IMG_2228 Happy Father’s Day to all the dads.  To commemorate the day, I made a masculine card for my son to give to his dad.  Really it was an excuse to by this adorable Nailed It stamp set  and coordinating Build It Framelits from Stampin Up that are no longer available from Stampin Up.  The background paper is from the Warmth and Cheer DSP collection that is also retired.

Forever in Blue Jeans

2016_11_22img_1677

I love denim so I decided to try my hand at making a pair of blue jeans by randomly stamping the hatched image from the You’ve Got This  #139572 background stamp in dapper denim ink onto marina mist cardstock. For the belt loops I punched Classic Label #141491 and the belt was textured using the Woodgrain #127821 Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  For the pocket I stamped the image from the Badges and Banners #141605 stamp set and punched it out with the coordinating Best Badge punch #140633. The sentiment is also from the Badges and Banners stamp set and punched with the Duet Banner punch #141483.
