Sending Love

2018_07_14IMG_3399 I have been celebrating my love of beautiful patterned paper all month long.  Today’s card uses the now retired Whole Lotta Lovely DSP from Stampin Up.  The sentiment and flower were stamped using the now retired coordinating Lots of Love stamp set.

Anchors Anchors and More Anchors

2018_07_07IMG_3372 When you don’t have the perfect paper on hand then use stamps and ink to randomly stamp images to create your own background like I did today with the You’re My Anchor stamp set from a Stampin Up Paper Pumpkin set. The rest of the elements were left over from the Paper Pumpkin kit that I put to good use to make a nautical card.

Grill and Chill

2018_07_04IMG_3065  Happy Fourth of July! I hope everyone in the USA is celebrating Independence Day and commemorating the adoption of our Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.  Since most Americans are off work they celebrate with family reunions, picnics, BBQ’s parades and fireworks! So my card today fits the bill.  The paper is from the now retired Tutti-Frutti DSP collection from Stampin Up.  The apron and tools are from the popular Apron Builder Framelits #145661 and the sentiment is from the now retired Fruit Basket stamp set from Stampin Up.

Naturally Eclectic

2018_07_03IMG_3406 What I truly love about pretty paper is that it can stand alone and make a beautiful card.  The case in point is today’s card featuring the gorgeous paper from the now retired Naturally Eclectic DSP collection from Stampin Up.  I added a ribbon (my second love behind paper) and the sentiment from the Barn Door #145865 stamp set stamped onto a Stitched Shapes #145372 piece and matted on a Starburst #143717 mat.

Garden Impressions

2018_07_02IMG_3459Today I am sharing  a card made with my favorite paper from the Stampin Up Garden Impressions #146289 paper stack from Stampin Up.  The trick here is to separate each paper with a coordinating solid mat and it tones the card way down.  I added the sentiment from the Abstract Impressions #147513 which works perfectly with the DSP.

Share What You Love

2018_07_01IMG_3455

Welcome to July.  This month I plan on sharing what I love and that is Stampin Up DSP (Designer Series Paper).  I am going to try to post cards made using mostly just DSP.  I used to buy and covet the DSP and have a huge stash of paper that was never used.  Now when I buy DSP I cut into it and use it.  Stampin Up makes it easy to coordinate their papers because within each collection the papers are intended [for the most part] to go together.  The perfect example is today’s card… I used all 12 designs of patterned paper from the Share What You Love #146926 collection on 1 card and it looks great! I added a coordinating ribbon and the sweet sentiment from the Barn Door #145865 stamp set.

Foil Frenzy

2018_06_26IMG_3385 The now retired Foil Frenzy DSP is the focal point of this card that I accented with Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.  I added the sentiment from the Fabulous Flamingo #143758 Stampin Up stamp set.  This card is perfect for any girly girl!
