Just Beachy

2017_07_06IMG_0500 Today’s post is another all purpose card using the Stampin Up High Tide #143006 stamp set.  This card is gorgeous and one of Cammies exclusive brayered designs and a tribute card to her retirement in Galveston TX from Tulsa.  I think she will get used to her new way of life!

Humming Birds

Today’s post is another Stampin Up Picture Perfect #140520 card that features the Picture Perfect Stamp set in the Occasions catalog  The images in this set really come to life because of the 2 step stamping technique and then heat embossed to add more textureer. The swirls from the Everything Eleanor #131987 added classic elegance to the all occasion card.

Fresh from the Market

Today’s post is mostly about the Stampin Up Farmers Market DSP #138448. I used it for the background paper and added random “Fresh” images from the Stampin Up Farm Fresh (retired) stamp set. For all the vegetables except the lettuce, I cut them out of a piece of Market Fresh DSP.  For the lettuce, I used the Market Fresh #138708 stamp set, colored it with Copic markers and then cut it out and popped it on top of all the other vegetables.  I added a piece of twine to complete this super fun card.

Lettuce Celebrate

2015_11_20IMG_9198 When I saw the Market Fresh #138708 stamp set in the 2015-2016 Stampin Up catalog it was top on my list.  I love stamps that play on words and “lettuce” be creative.  Today’s card is one I made for a dear friend that recently retired from her 37 year federal government job.  The background is textured using the Stampin Up Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I then added a strip of Farmers Market DSP #138448 and a few scraps of DSP hand cut into a banners and a piece of Washi Tape. The main panel is stamped using the all new and super fabulous Stampin Up Basic black Archival ink #140931.  I used an array of Copic Markers to color the image and bring the lettuce to life!

Happy Retirement

2015_10_02IMG_8786After 24 years active duty in the US Naval nurse corp our sister CDR Blair Miles is officially retired and ready to start a new career outside the military.  I used the now retired Maritime DSP and the Guy Greetings #137178 stamp set from Stampin Up.

The best part of retirement is the surprise party at her local microbrewery and all her friends, coworkers and subordinates turned out in force to pay tribute to a hard working officer and surgical nurse. I have included the crafty handiwork for her parting gifts and cake. All beer themed of course and very creative.

Hip Hip Hooray!

2015_06_01IMG_7376 Graduation season is upon us and the Stampin Up Bravo photopolymer stampset #135380 is the perfect set to make a great card.  I made todays card for a co-worker who recently retired.  I originally made the card for graduation cards and had 1 left over so I squeezed the Happy Retirement sentiment in to instantly transform the graduation card to a retirement card.

Oh Happy Day Treat Bag

2015_05_05IMG_6918Happy Cinco De Mayo! Today I am posting a cute retirement card I made using the Stampin Up Mini Treat Bag  # 137547for the envelope. The DSP is retired from Stampin Up several years ago and the Sentiment is from the Starburst Sayings #133185 and cut out using the coordinating Starburst Framelits #132967.  Both the Starburst Sayings and the Starburst Framelits are on the soon to be Stampin Up retired list. I added some remnants of ribbon and closed the bag with a mini clothes pin #133764.

For the card inside, I kept it simple and2015_05_05IMG_6920 attached coordinating banners punched using the Stampin Up banner punch #133519 and a piece of fringed ribbon to the end of a tooth pick. I anchored the toothpicks with a banner cut from the soon to be retired Bitty Banners framelits #129267 and stamped the sentiment using the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set #128748.
