Happy birthday to my Stampin Up Kit Loving friend Mindi. In honor of her birthday, I am posting a card she made me using a couple of kits and a stamp set from the Oh Happy Day card kit #142725.
The Stampin Up Card kits are the perfect way to get started because everything you need is all included. They are also great for a seasoned crafter because you can combine the products from multiple kits or with other products and create a quick and beautiful card.

Today’s post is a thank you I received from my star customer Sheri. She always sends a thank you after our private session workshop to show her appreciation and I love getting the happy mail.
For today’s card I was inspired by the card on page 159 of the 2017-2018 annual catalog featuring the fabulous and new Wood Crate Framelits #143730. I love this Framelit and thought I could do without the stamp set so I did not buy the coordinating Wood Words set. Big Mistake! It always seems like when I don’t buy the bundle I regret it.
For this card, I stamped the background with an image from a stamp set that has been retired for years. I think it is called Home Grown. I then used the Wood Crate to cut it out from the Wood Textured DSP #144177 and made the crate. I added the hand cut carrots and added carrot tops using the retired bird builder punch. I finished with a tag tied with linen thread.
I send out so many cards throughout the year from birthdays to Halloween and Christmas to thanks and sympathy and everything in between so I really appreciate it when I get a handmade card. Today’s card is a sweet thank you from my dear friend Sheri. This is the perfect layout to do when you have those left over strips of “valuable” DSP laying around that you don’t want to throw out. Love it! Thanks Sheri for making my day with a handmade card.

It has been a long time since I created a single layer card with nothing but stamping and ink. No embellishments and no framelits just back to the basics for me. To complete the task, I used the High Tide #143006 stamp set to make cards for my son to have on hand. Completing this card reminded me of why I took up stamping to begin with! Beautiful images can be created with just stamps and ink. I was so happy with how it turned out that I have made so many other cards with this set that will post in the days to come.
I received this sweet card as a thank you from my friend and customer Sheri. The card is so simple but oh so delicate with all the elements to create a layered look without all the fuss and minimal stamping is involved. Sheri pulled various Stampin Up products from her stash and created a clean look.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads. To commemorate the day, I made a masculine card for my son to give to his dad. Really it was an excuse to by this adorable Nailed It stamp set and coordinating Build It Framelits from Stampin Up that are no longer available from Stampin Up. The background paper is from the Warmth and Cheer DSP collection that is also retired.
