Today’s card is all about inking. Cammie brayered the background using 3 shaded of blue Stampin Up inks (Marina Mist, Island Indigo and Baja Breeze) and then distressed the edges of the background with Not Quite Navy. The flowers are made from the new 1 1/4 inch scallop #127811and the Boho blossoms punch #119858 and the little leaves sizzlit #114511. The sentiment piece is made by inking the clear block H with 4 shades of blue markers in graduating colors (dark to light)Not Quite Navy, Island Indigo, Marina Mist, Baja Breeze and then filled the empty spritzer bottle #126185 with water and lightly misted the block and then stamped a whisper white piece of cardstock. Once the paper was dry she distressed the edges with Not quite Navy and stamped the sentiment. The strip was then mounted atop 4 scallop square #119884 of coordinating blue papers. I must say this is quite stunning and I cannot wait to try this technique.

Cammie and I are not going to the Stampin Up convention this year 😦 but Cammie is going to the Michelle Zindorf brayer class in Lawrence Kansas. Michelle is a fellow Stampin Up demonstrator and brayer extraordinaire! So to get ready for her brayer classes, Cammie dusted off her brayer and went to work and created this fabulous “peacock” floating feathers card. This card showcases the all new Fine Feathers stampset #126517 and the expression is from the all new World Treasures stampset #126767. Cammie’s canvas started out as a blank sheet of whisper white cardstock that she lightly brayered using bashful blue ink. The peacock feathers were then stamped with black Stazon Ink and then colored using Aqua Painters with Gumball Green, Island Indigo, Soft Suede, and Elegant Eggplant ink. She did not stop there, Cammie layered a piece of basic black cardstock and edged it with the all new delicate designs textured embossing folder #127023 and finished the edge with the Large scallop edgelits die #127019 and sprayed the vanilla shimmers smooch spritz #118772 on the black scalloped piece. Before mounting the peacock feathers piece onto the black cardstock,Cammie used the Stampin Up spritzing tool #10706 and an Island Indigo marker to randomly spritz the feathered piece and then toned down the whole peacock feather piece with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz. Finally, She stamped the sentiment using the World Treasures stamp set and then cut it out the Big shot and apothecary accents framelits dies # 127003 and then used a black marker to outline the die cut image. Then mounted that on Gumball Green and hand cut the shape. The best part is that I received this masterpiece and prootype in the mail.
