Today’s post was a favorite card that I made for my card cafe. It was not as popular as I would have liked but had a few kits left over so I made them up to send out as Thanksgiving cards. Background is the popular Stampin Up wood grain background stamp#117100. I then created 2 banners 1 from the Core’dinations Cardstock textured with the woodgrain folder #127821 and distressed. The second banner is cut from the Champagne Glimmer paper #127885. Sunflower is punched from the 1 3/4 ” scallop circle #119854 and then scored and folded, the center is punched from the all new 1 1/4 inch scallop circle and textured with the dots a plenty folder. The leaves were cut using the Autumn Accents Big Z die #127812. I then scattered wee sunflowers punched from the Itty bitty Shapes pack #118309. Perfect fall card created in minutes.
Too bad that this photo is so dull because this card turned out so sweet and my customers loved doing this card using the babywipe technique and Stampin Up reinkers. To do the babywipe technique, you need a babywipe folded in 1/2 and then in 1/2 again to create a “pad”. Add 3-5 colors of reinker (about 6 or so drops) of each color from dark to light and then take stamp and stamp it on the prepared babywipe. Make sure all the whole image has color and then stamp on plain cardstock. I used very vanilla cardstock and the Tweet Leaves #128111 and the coordinating Autumn Accents Die #127812. The Raspberry Ripple scalloped edge was textured using the Delicate Designs folder #127023 and then cut with the Stampin Up companion product- the large Scallop Edgelits #127019 and then finished with the raspberry ripple 3/8 ” stitched ribbon #126845.
The babywipe technique creates a watercolor look and each card looks just a bit different. Give it a try and send me your card via email and I will post it to the blog.
The leaves have begun to change colors and Cammie is right in season with this super simple and “Tweet” card that features the Tweet Leaves stampset #128111 from the Stampin Up Holiday catalog. This single stamp is so cute and works in tandem with the Autumn Leaves Accent die #127812. Cammie cut the accent leaves and then textured them using the popular Woodgrain textured embossing folder #127812 and finished the card with the darling Designer Ribbon Slide #127834 and slipped a piece of baja blue seam binding in the slide to create a fashionable accent.
