May brings flowers and balloons for Mothers Day, Graduations and of course May birthdays and the Stampin Up Celebrate Today #137138 stamp set came to the rescue for me to make a stack of multi-purpose cards. I used the now retired Irresistibly Yours DSP and sponged ink to reveal the embossed dots on the pear pizazz balloon. The pear balloon and tails were cut using the coordinating Balloons framelits #137362.
The Celebrate Today and the Balloon Framelits are available as a bundled item and you can save 15% when purchased together as a single item number.
I love using the Stampin Up DSP for a card layer and then making an element from the DSP using punches. For today’s card I used a piece of DSP from the Birthday Basics collection. I then created a balloon bouquet using the small oval #120908 and the feet from the owl punch #118074. I added Calyspo Coral Bakers Twine #125573 and anchored it to a layered embellishment using the Apothecary accents #127003, 7/8 ” Scallop and a Bitty Banner with a birthday sentiment.
Love it and made it in multiples to have on hand for graduations, birthdays and other celebrations.
Today is my husband Brad’s 49th birthday so I would like to give a great big shout out to him! Luck Brad that his birthday is usually during our spring break so he does not have to work. Today’s post features the Party This way #120609 stam set and is a stamp set that I have loved since it came out in the Stampin Up IBC a few years ago but I never ordered. It kept getting bumped to a lower priority on my must have list until recently it was offered for free during Stampin Up’s annual sale-a-bration campaign so I snatched it up then. This card is a pretty simple straight forward design that requires little instruction to complete.
More card cafe cards coming tomorrow.
