You’re My Hero

2014_05_30You're my hearo 001Since it is our baby sister’s birthday, and she serves in the US Navy Nurse Corps and it’s Memorial Day weekend and Our Sister is our Hero I am posting a second post for her birthday today.

Cammie made this patriotic card.  She made the houndstooth  strip using the now retired  “Beyond Plaid”, the stamped star is from the old and retired  “Sprinkled Expression” hostess set and the you’re my hero is from the soon to be discontinued set You’re my hero #130309.  The picture frame was cut using the square thinlits#130921 and the star was cut using the snowflake thinlits (retired) and then fussy cut to modify the snowflake into a star.
Here’s a big thanks to all those who serve including our Biggest Hero our sister Blair!!

King for a Day

2013_05_29DSCI0149 For today’s card, Cammie used the retiring Beyond Plaid #129204 from the Stampin Up spring catalog to create the masculine background.  A silver cardstock strip was textured with the Argyle folder #127750 and matted on black cardstock. The background on the white focal rectangle was stamped using the Clockworks stampset #127292 and then Cammie heat  embossed the crown from the retiring You Rule #129264 stampset.  She cut out the embossed crown and popped it on the focal rectangle. She finished the card with Black Glimmer brads.

Remember, just 3 more days until the retiring products in the  Stampin  Up Spring Catalog and the 2012-2013 Annual catalog will no longer be available.  So order now!  Good news is when product goes away, new products are launched so stay tuned for the new 2013-2014 Stampin Up Catalog that  goes live on 1 June.

Easter Peeps

DSCI0137 Who does not love peeps?  Today’s card is one of Cammie’s Easter designs.  I love all her brayering cards because she makes it sound so easy to create these realistic backgrounds but trust me I have tried to do it but mine don’t turn out quite as nice.

The PEEPS sentiment is stamped using the Morning Post Alphabet #126592 from the Stampin Up annual catalog.  The Egg was done using the Beyond Plaid backgroung stamp #129204 from the Spring Catalog and then she cut it out using the new oval framelits #129381 and then hand cut the cracked egg.  She added the peep using the bird builder punch #117191.  Super cute is what I can say.
