Color Coach Combo Challenge #2- Tangerine Tango

If you liked yesterday’s More Mustard color coach combination you will be surprised at todays cards using Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, and Old Olive combination.  These 3 cards all look so different but all 3 carried out the Cammie’s color coach challenge.  Cammie’s card features the Fancy Fan letter press plate and the My Friend stamp set to create a simple contemporary design.  Yvonne Crooks card was centered around punches and the Big Shot to create an adorable and simple card.  My card down played the tempting turquoise that was present in both Cammie and Yvonnes cards yielded a completely different look.  My goal was to use discontinued patterened paper.  Tomorrows color challenge will be the Wisteria Wonder combination where we will have a new artist added to this color challenge.

Icecream presents and cake oh my!

This is a very popular week for birthdays amoung my friends and family members.  Aug 4 is the birthday for a couple of my friends, August 5th is my brother in law’s birthday and another friend and Aug 7th  is the 5th birthday for my brothers twins .  So to honor all the birthdays I am posting a birthday card to honor all the birthdays in my life this week.

Create the ice cream cone using crumb cake carstock #120953 $6.95 and cut using the bigshot and petal cone die#121810 $32.95. Then run through the square lattice texture folder #119976 $7.95 and glue down to form the cone.  Make sure to just apply the adhesive along the seam only so the top is open and can be used as a pocket for the message

Cut the inside triangle using the petal cone die and whisper white cardstock.  This will be used to build the icecream stacks on

Using scrap cardstock and designer series paper cut scallop circles using the  Circle #2 die #1134526 $15.95 and cut in half to create the scoops. Use the scallop border punch #119882 $15.95 Layer the scoops on the whisper white cardstock to create cone.

To create cherry, punch a 3/4″ circle using the 3/4″ circle punch #119873 $10.95 from real red cardstock #102482 $6.95 , add glitter and a stem  punched from the two step bird punch#117191 $16.95

Stamp birthday sentiment and add to front of cone.
