Here’s to a great big birthday shout out to my Aunt Pat. To honor her I made a fantastic card featuring the Celebrate Today #137138. For each hot air balloon, I used the Birthday Bash DSP. The Birthday Bash DSP is no longer available in the Stampin Up catalogs but is available on the clearance rack. The hot air balloons were cut using the coordinating Balloons Framelits #137362.

I have been clearing house lately and using up my retired pretty Stampin Up DSP and today’s card is no exception. When I find a piece of DSP I love, I want to show it off with a simple design and this is probably my favorite go to layout. The background DSP is from the now retired Stampin Up Birthday Bash collection. I added a Night of Navy Strip and embossed the Perfectly Penned Sentiment is white. I then added a Melon Mambo flower from the Crazy About You #137137. The flower was also embossed in white and then hand cut and layered to give the flower texture.
Wow as I look at this card, If I would have added a red flower this would work for a 4th of July card or patriotic card.
Today’s card is one that I made to showcase the Stampin Up Bow Builder punch #137414 that is adorned on top of a stack of birthday presents! I added the birthday sentiment from the Stampin Up Big Day (now retired stamp set). The great thing about this card is that it can be used for any occasion just by swapping out the DSP.
Today’s layout is perfect for showcasing all the pretty and different papers available in the Stampin Up DSP collections. I am showcasing the Birthday Bash DSP. I cut various widths of DSP and notched the ends to make banners. This layout would be perfect to use the all new Banner Triple Punch to perfectly cut banners in 1″, 1.5″ and 2″ widths.
For my recent birthday bash workshop, I featured cards using the Stampin Up Birthday Bash (now retired) DSP. For today’s card, I paired the Birthday Bash DSP with the Balloon Framelits #137362 and the coordinating Celebrate Today photopolymer #137138. To create the shaker I used the balloon die to cut a window in the white panel. I then put a transparent Window Sheet #114323 on the back side.and then stamped the sentiment from the Celebrate Today set using Stazon Ink #101406 and the multi colored strings. Turned over the panel and put Stampin Dimensionals all around the back side leaving absolutely no gaps. I added a bunch of stars punched using the Confetti Stars Border #135861. Once enough mulit colored stars were added I covered the back with a piece of calypso coral cardstock to seal the window. I added 2 scalloped edges and secured the Birthday Bash DSP. To finish the fun card I turned it over and made sure it shakes and then added the cute mini bow cut from the Balloon Framelits.
The Celebrate Today and the Balloon Framelits are part of the Bundle and Save 15% when the 2 items are purchased together using #138869.
I have been on a roll lately making cards using Stampin Up DSP as the main focus and today’s card is no different. It features the just retired from the Stampin Up occasions catalog- Birthday Bash DSP. For an added extra, I recreated the party hat using the pennant punch (retired) and added the sentiment using the die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. Wrapped it up by adding a piece of tangerine twist ribbon to make a fun birthday card for any age!
Happy National Donut Day! To commemorate this day, I made 2 different designs to send to a few sweet friends. For the first card I used the now retired Stampin Up Birthday Bash DSP for all the patterned paper and the donut icing. For the donut, I used the Circles Collection framelits #130911 and cut the 2 rings and layered them on top of one another. For the sentiment I used the now retired Yippee Skippee stamp set and hand cut the banner.
For the second card I am featuring the all new and super sweet Cherry on Top DSP paper stack #138443 from Stampin Up including the icing on the donut. For the banner I hand used the all new Banner Triple Punch #138292.
The Banner Triple Punch gives you triple the banner options in one punch. You can make banners in three widths–1″, 1-1/2″, and 2″–in any length. Just slide the paper in, punch, and get perfectly notched banners (or gift tags, bookmarks, belly bands) every time.
Be sure to treat yourself and a friend to a donut today!!
There is something to celebrate with the new Stampin Up catalog so you can see all the new stamps, paper, embellishments and tools. Today I am posting a card that uses the now retired Birthday Bash DSP and the Celebrate Today # 137138 photopolymer stamp set that is carried over in the 2015-2016 Stampin Up annual catalog. The coordinating Balloon Framelits #137362 and are a Bundle and Save Item. The Banner created using the all new Banner Triple punch #138292 and cuts banners in 1″ 1.5 ” and 2″ widths and was one of the top items I purchased on pre-order.
Today’s post makes me happy. I really love this sweet bird in the Stampin Up A Happy Thing stampset (no longer available). This stamp was one of the sale-a-bration items and it just is a fun bird to work with. I added a piece of the soon to be retiring Birthday Bash DSP #137783 and added a sentiment from the now retired Feel Goods stampset.
Be sure to check out the Stampin Up retired list to get the Birthday Bash DSP and other Stampin Up products that will no longer be available after June 2nd.
I cannot get enough of making these super cute bows using the Stampin Up Bow Builder Punch #137414. It is great to make the bows using scraps of DSP left over from other projects which is what I did for today’s post. Both the bow and the striped strip are from the Stampin Up Birthday Bash Specialty Paper #137783. The sentiment is from the Celebrate Today #137138 stamp set. Super Quick and Oh so cute of I do say so myself!
