Well now that it is April, birthmonth is over and I am thrilled with all the cards, flowers, presents gift cards, lunches and dinners that my friends and family sent me for my month long celebration of my birth. Today I am sharing the hand made cards that I received in what I am calling the birthday card parade! The cards are in no particular order and each one is special in its own right and a true gift for me to treasure. Thanks friends for spoiling me! It’s Tuesday so it is digital download day at Stampin Up. Stampin Up offers new digital downloads every Tuesday and they can be used with Stampin Up’s My Digital Studio and other non SU digital applications. Today’s card is a hybrid card started out as a digital card that I created in MDS and had printed using Stampin Up’s printing services. I used some scraps of DSP and the Hearts a Flutter Framelits #130159 to add a “real” banner tied with Island Indigo Bakers Twine #125575. I completed the banner by adding a Itty Bitty flower punch #118309 and a basic rhinestone. It is fun to have the digital card bases on hand and ready to he hybridized when you need a card in a pinch.

Todays card is hard to see but the strip where happy is is a clear transparency that is tucked under the other 2 pieces to make the card front. For the rest of the card, I used scrap paper to make a very cure birthday card.
The card is finished with 3 knots of coordinating 1/8 inch ribbon.
Happy 17th Birthday to my son, Christopher. I love this picture of him in my favorite baby outfit. The outfit has numbers all over it and there is a matching numbers blanket that he still covets to this day.So I decided to make him a numbers birthday card. While I was at it I made a female 18th version of the card for my niece. Look no stamping just random numbers cut in black and the appropriate age highlighted in the contrast color. Super quick and easy. I may use the concept for my over the hill swap I am in. What do you think?
A big shout out to my neice Elizabeth (aka Sissy) who turns 16 today! I made this card to commemorate her sweet 16 but the card also has special meaning. Elizabeth is a super athlete and loves basketball. She plays on several teams and like her mother- loves Pat Summit (longtime coach of the Tennesse Vols women’s basketball team). This colors in this card represent Elizabeth’s school colors (teal and black). The purple represents the Pat Summit Foundation and Alzheimers. Both Elizabeth and Blair support the I back Pat campaign.
You can’t see the green that is hidden inside to represent the cash that every 16 year old really wants for their birthday.
Today is a shout out to our little brother Chris. This card layout is a go to layout that works well with punches or stamps. The postage stamp punch #122344 is a favorite punch to frame the punched circles and matching brad to create a simple and masculine birthday card.Cammie’s color scheme showcases how wonderful Stampin Up coordinates the embellishments, ribbon, inks and cardstock which also makes things simple.
Today’s card is a super cute and quick card that showcases the Patio Party DSP #126916 from the Stampin Up Annual catalog. I love the big polka dots and all the papers in this line because it screams birthday fun. I stamped the cake twice, once on whisper white and once on DSP that I cut out and layered on the cake. Punched out the cake using the 1 3/8″ circle 3119860 and applied it to a midnight muse 1 3/4 inch scallop circle #119854. Finished it off with a hand cut happy birthday pennant flag,
