Lego Birthday

Happy birthday to our twin niece and nephew, Claire and Dylan, who are 6 today.  I made this card for Dylan who is a Lego addict.  The card looks simple but is very time consuming building my Lego pieces.  Each Lego is made from the Stampin Up 1″ square punch #124094 and the circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punches pack #118309.  I inked and popped every circle and then placed it on the square and formed the #6.  That is about the extent of my Lego skills.  I am sure he will love it.

Wheel barrow birthday

Who knew a wheelbarrow could be so cute? The background was created using the fabulous  tool #122334.  THe soft suede layer was embossed with elegant lines textured embossing folder #119277. The next layer was then stamped with the Gnome Sweet Gnome stamp set and then cut on the bigshot using the label collection framelit die #125598.The next layer is an oval cut from the ovals # 2die (retiring May 31st) #114525 and the wheel barrow is samped, colored, cut out and popped onto the oval. The sentiment is from the Retiring Hostess set, happiest birthday ever #122617 and stamped on a strip of banner cut into a faux banner. The card is finished with daffodil delight taffeta and grossgrain ribbon.

Fabric Celebrate

Today’s card is the same layout as yesterday and uses the sweet stitches fabric that is on the current retired list.  This fabric is oh so cute but only available while supplies last or May 31st.

Gift of Friendship

Cammie received the cutest birthday card from a loyal Stampin Up customer and dear friend, Sheri Foos, and wanted it posted because the best gift anyone can get is a handmade card.  This card shows how much Sheri likes Cammie and displays her talents well.  I guess Cammie and I can step aside and let Mrs. Foos teach us a thing or two.  Great job on this wowzer!

Stack o Packages

Since tomorrow is Cammies birthday I wanted to post a birthday card.  Unlike me, Cammie does not celebrate birth month or even birthweek but thought I’d give her an early shout out.

Continuing with the scraps of Everyday enchantment DSP I made this card for my card cafe and it was definately one that people liked.  I plan to switch out the papers and make it again.  Most of my card cafe attendees thought this was a layered birthday cake rather than a stack of presents which I thought was super funny.  I cut strips of paper and stacked them then added and curled the ribbon.  Added the sentiment from the also no longer available  stamp set called outlined occasions and colored it in with coordinationg markers.

Homegrown Birthday

The homegrown stamp set #120486 was one of my favorites from the Stampin Up IBC but one that I seldom use.  Today Cammie used the homegrown stamp set using black and white images and then layered it on top of a black top note #113463 and then onto a crumbcake card base.  She finished the card with a piece of  crumb cake 1/2 inch seam binding #122332.  Love this clean and simple card that I just may go dust off my homegrown set and play.
