Today’s post is a real ingenious and clever gift card holder that my friend and customer Sheri made me for my birthday. It is made from a Stampin Up Treat Bagthat was folded to create a double pocket holder- One for the gift card and the other for the message. Sheri used my favorite paper(Botanical Garden DSP) and the Botanical Builder Framelits that are no longer available. Loved it and the gift card was a real treat!

I wanted to make a card to showcase all the new In colors (2017-2019) from Stampin Up: Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, and Tranquil Tide. I used the now retired Botanical Blooms stamp set and coordinating Botanical Builder Framelits to make a bunch of flowers and leaves. I used the fabulous new Wood Textures DSP #144177 as the background and added 2 pieces of 5/8 inch Burlap ribbon #141487 to anchor the flowers to. The sentiment is from the Beautiful You #143004 stamp set to create this bright and beautiful card.
Today’s card is all about the Affectionately Yours DSP #141632. I just cut 1″ strips of several of the different patterns of paper. Good thing is they all match and work well together because that is how Stampin Up designs their DSP collections. I added a piece of 5/8″ burlap ribbon to add texture. I then added a block with a flower cut from the Botanical Builder Framelits #140625 and the sentiment from the now retired Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.
The base of todays card is extured with the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder#141481. For the focal piece, Cammie added her inking techniques- direct to paper, brayering and sponging to create the moon and its reflection in the water. To add even more interest, Cammie added a bordered edge cut from the Botanical Builder Framelits #140625 from Stampin Up.
From time to time I like to do a minimal stamping card and feature other great products from Stampin Up. So today’s card features the Affectionately Yours DSP from Stampin Up. I used the Stampin Up Botanical Builder Framelits #140625 for cutting the flowers and the Stampin Up Rose Garden Thinlits #140619 for the leaves.
I made this card before the all new Detailed Floral Thinlits came out. It would have been much easier then the way I did mine using the Bloomin Heart Thinlits #140621. To create the lacy background, I cut 4 hearts from the Bloomin Heart Thinlits and then overlayed them on a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock. I stamped the sentiment using the now retired Perfect Pennant stampset and mounted it on Wisteria cardstock. I finished by adding a bouquet of flowers cut using the Botanical Builder Framelits #140625 and the coordinating Botanical Blooms #140757 stamp set.
I love everything about today’s post. The natural color scheme that Cammoie used for this card is on trend and lends itself perfectly with the beautiful Botanical Blooms #140757 stamp set and the coordinating Botanical Builder Framelits #140625. I am so happy Stampin Up carried over both of these items in the all new 2016-2017 annual catalog.
I am so sad that the Shine On DSP #140579 is not being carried over from the Stampin Up Occasions catalog. It is so beautiful because the designs are printed on Kraft paper with silver foil designs on one side. The catalog images really don’t do this paper justice. I used the non shiny piece for the background layer and then added a piece of gold satin ribbon I then cut flower and leaves from the Stampin Up Botanical Builder Framelits #140625 and added pearls to the center. The sentiment is stamped from the Rose Wonder #140619 stamp set and then cut using the coordinating Rose Garden Thinlit #140619.
For today’s post, I started out using my favorited DSP in the Stampin Up Occasions catalog and about to be retired -Shine On DSP #140579. The pictures in the catalog do not do this paper collection justice. Each sheet is double sided for double the creative options. Kraft paper with colorful designs on one side amd Kraft paper with silver foil designs on the other side.
For the Frog I used the Playful Pals Bundle #141069 that includes the Playful Pals Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Pyramid Pals Thinlits. Using the Playful Pals stamp ser is like playing like Dr. Frankenstein and building your own creatures. But in this case, the lab is your home, the science is a stamp set, and the creatures are whimsical pets that will be adored by one and all. Combine images to make an elephant, chick, monkey, dog, frog, and pig. That’s just for starters—turn your imagination loose and see what else you can make. The coordinating Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies allow you to make your own playful paper animals and treat boxes with these Thinlits dies and the Big Shot.
Once the frog was complete he was mounted on a lily pad is cut in two layers [watermelon wonder and botanical vellum(retired)] using the soon to be retired Floral Framelits #127012 and then I added leaves cut fro the Botanical Framelits #140625.
Lots of products and steps were used to make this “Hoppy Birthday” card for my frog loving friend.
Happy Cinco De Mayo. Today’s post is a fun card that pairs the beautiful but retired Wild Flower Fields DSP with the Botanical Builder Framelits #140625. My favorite feature is the peek a boo edge along the side that was cut using the framelit. The flower is also cut from the Botanical framelit and the flower center punched using the soon to be retiring Itty Bitty Punch pack.
Stampin Up has lots of stamps and other stuff on the new new retirement list. As sad as that is that some of our favorite things will soon be gone but on the upside, Stampin Up needs to make room for new products coming soon in the all new annual catalog. Be sure to check out the whole list of items that will be gone forever and even better some of the retiring items are discounted up to 50 percent off.
