It’s all about the dress

Today’s post is a real wowzer to kick off the month of love.  Recently our friend and fellow blogger, Kim Morris, got engaged and Cammie wanted to create a special one of a kind engagement card.  Every bride knows that it is all about the dress so being the seamstress that Cammie is she created a delicate beauty featuring  the paper doily die #125592 from the Stampin Up occasions mini catalog.  The bodice of the dress is punched from the full heart punch #119883 and then layed the die cut doily to fit on top of the bodice.  The skirt consists of 3 tiers of the remaining doily and layered vellum underneath to create a tulle-ing effect.  The dress was delicately beaded  with pearls #119247 and a sash was created from the white organza ribbon #114319 and finished with Jumbo pearl #125577 (from the new  occasions mini) broach at the waist.  The dress was mounted on black polka dot DSP from the Stampin Up neutrals stack #117157.  The sentiment is from the wordplay stamp set #120651 and embossed with white embossing powder and layered on top of a blushing bride cardbase.  A rhinestone bling finsihes the ring in the I do!

Congratulations Kim and good luck finding the perfect dress!

Happy engagement to my dear friend Kim who got engaged on New Year’s eve.  I was so happy for her because she has waited to find the perfect match and she found that in her finace, Jack.  Congrats.  This card was inspired by a Stampin up stamp set that I thought I owned but could not find it so I created it using the alphaber simple letters die #115960 cut from the silver glimmer paper #124005, then stamped a vase from vellum and cut out then stamped a boquet of flowers from a retired stamp set and added punched flowers and flower soft centers to complete this card.
