One of my favorite things to do with stamp sets that I love is to randomly stamp images from stamp sets to create my own unique background paper. That’s exactly what I did for today’s post. I used most of the images from the now retired Nailed It stamp set to create the background. I colored all the images with my Copic markers and then added the washer and sentiment using the coordinating Builder Framelits (also retired) from Stampin Up. The best part about doing a card this way is no two are alike!!
As always I needed a masculine birthday card so I went to my go to masculine stamp set. The Stampin Up Nailed It stamp set and coordinating Build It Framelits are retired but I love them too much to stop using. I paired the stamps with the Warmth and Cheer DSP and the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to create a real manly card. I added the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes #128748 stamp set to complete the card.
I have had to come up with a lot of masculine cards lately so my go to stamp set has been the Nailed It set (retired) and the coordinating Build It Framelits (also retired). Super simple design that nails the perfect card for the handy man in your life!
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads. To commemorate the day, I made a masculine card for my son to give to his dad. Really it was an excuse to by this adorable Nailed It stamp set and coordinating Build It Framelits from Stampin Up that are no longer available from Stampin Up. The background paper is from the Warmth and Cheer DSP collection that is also retired.
I am so proud of my college friend who went through some tough times for several years and did not believe in herself but I believed in her. After a failed 3rd marriage, sickness, money troubles, etc I encouraged her to get a job (she is an engineer) and so she did. She got a sales job and worked hard and after almost 2 years she landed a huge opportunity at General Motors. She nailed it! So I made her this card to congratulate her on her success. I textured the silver foil using the Stampin Up Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #143231. I added a strip of retired Pop of Pink DSP. I then stamped the hammer using the Nailed It stampset (retired) and also cut it out using the coordinating Build It Framelits (retired) and also the handle out of pink glimmer cardstock and pieced the “girly” hammer together. I stamped the sentiment onto a label piece and finished with a wee little pink bow. Congratulations – I knew you could do it
