Happy birthday to my niece, Alexandra who is celebrating her 18th birthday today! Today’s post is another one of the cards that I made for my spoiled friend’s birthweek celebration in December and am just getting around to posting it. This card has a border of hand cut Papillion Potpourri butterflies stamp set #123759. Each butterfly was embossed and then colored with In Color markers. The expression is from the Seasonal Saying stampset that is no longer available.

It has been awhile since I posted a scrapbook page so I decided to post this one today. This layout is one that I created for my group of fellow scrappers for our monthly class. This class is unique in the fact that we all used to take classes at our local scrapbook store in Pickerington Ohio that closed about a year ago. Once the store closed we wanted to continue our friendship and scrapbook pages so we decided to form our own club. 4 of us rotate the page creation each month and provide all the stuff for the others to create our page. This is my page I created for May. I started with espresso card stock and then began creating butterflies from all my dies and accented the butterflies with various embellishments from mini clothes pins to paperclips to ribbons and rhinestones. I thought the page was pretty basic and I did all the hard work by prepping everything in advance but it still took awhile to put together but I think my scrapbook pals were happy with the results. Now I just need to find time to add the photos to complete the page.

Nothing screams wedding like lots of bling and today is an over the top card created by Cammie that showcases the Stampin Up Silver Glimmer Paper #124005. This card is heavily layered and glimmers. The Butterflies were cut using Beautiful Buttrflies die #114507 and the Beautiful Wings embosslits die #118138. All the whisper white card stock on this beauty is embossed using the Elegant Bouquet textured embossing folder #115964 and is finshied with a bow from the 5/8″ Organza ribbon and then accented with a Filigree brad #112577 and a large pearl #125577 from the occasions mini catalog. The sentiment is from the Word Play #120651 stamp set and is embossed in silver to create a keepsake wedding card.
First of all, please excuse the blurry photo but we did not see the final image until way after the card was sent. Cammie created this card using the pool party card base edged with the scallop border punch #119882 to reveal a piece of the wonderful First Edition DSP #121878. The background butterfly images from the Strength and Hope stampset #123660 were stamped in pool party ink to create a monochromatic look. The dimensional butterflys were cut from flirtacious DSP #122360 and the Beautiful Wings embosslits die #118138 and scattered on the card base. The card was wrapped with whisper white bakers twine #124262 and Cammie added a frame embossed with the designer frames embossing folder#123130 and then cut out. Cammie then added a extra large oval punch #119859 from a scrap piece of First Edition DSP. She finished the card by adding pearls to the beautiful butterflies.
