Happy birthday to my good friend Belinda. We have been friends since the 5th grade and today’s post is the card I made for her using the embossed Swallowtail butterfly stamp #129216 from the Stampin Up spring catalog. I used Stampin Up markers to color in the various shades of pink. I loved how it turned out that I made it 2 more times in other colors. Hopefully these beautiful butterflies will bring springtime soon.

Happy Birthday to my dear friend Lisa. We have been friends for over 40+ years and I have not finished her birthday card yet but thank goodness Cammie got some new product and had time to make Lisa a card with her new products. This card features the beautiful oversized Swallow Tail butterfly stamp #129216 from the all new Stampin Up spring occasions catalog. What a beautiful card for a very beautiful birthday gal.
It has been awhile since I posted a scrapbook page so I decided to post this one today. This layout is one that I created for my group of fellow scrappers for our monthly class. This class is unique in the fact that we all used to take classes at our local scrapbook store in Pickerington Ohio that closed about a year ago. Once the store closed we wanted to continue our friendship and scrapbook pages so we decided to form our own club. 4 of us rotate the page creation each month and provide all the stuff for the others to create our page. This is my page I created for May. I started with espresso card stock and then began creating butterflies from all my dies and accented the butterflies with various embellishments from mini clothes pins to paperclips to ribbons and rhinestones. I thought the page was pretty basic and I did all the hard work by prepping everything in advance but it still took awhile to put together but I think my scrapbook pals were happy with the results. Now I just need to find time to add the photos to complete the page.
The 3 strips measure 1 3/4 inches x 4 inches and then punched butterflies with the butterfly punch and added rhinestones and added ribbon to finish the card
Today’s post is the final card from Cammie’s spring workshop and open house. This card features the everyday enchantment DSP and also the brads and ribbon that are free during Stampin Up’s sale-a-bration with a qualifying order. The butterfly is cut from the Blossom punch #125603 available in the Stampin Up occasions mini catalog and the embossed lines on the card front on done using the fabulous Simply Scored Scoring tool. The sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts stampset #125845 also in the occasions mini catalog.
One of the great things about attending a Stampin Up workshop is that you can try things out before you buy and this card is a great exanple of that. This card features the paper doily #125592 twice and after seeing it done on this card it is a must have item. It is so worth the extra work and really brings this card and the butterfly to life.
Sister number 3 aka baby gave me a stash of these 2012 calendars that I re-purpised into a very cute and practical card. This card was made with retired Stammpin Up cardstock colors and ribbon but also used the new paper doily#125592 from the occasions mini catalog. The paper doily is then cut at the same time as the butterfly using the Beautiful butterflies die #114507. Butterfly is accented with Basic Pearls #119247 and 1/8 inch basic black taffeta ribbon #119261 and mounted on a piece of white cardstock textured with the petals a plenty folder #116824
While at Convention Shelli Gardner showed a cute and quick card to make using the butterfly punch to create a hole in the card front and fill it with scrap of DSP. Today I am showing this concept using 2 color schemes. Hope you like them.
My third sympathy card using the retired God’s Beauty butterfly set will look great when substituting with another butterfly stamp set. When I set out to make these sympathy cards, I created several l of the butterflies while I had my heat gun embossing powders and markers out. I colored and cut them all out and then had enough butter flies to create cards with.
