Today is the last day of Christmas in July so I am ending on a great card Cammie made featuring the now retired Stampin Up Farmhouse Christmas stamp set to create this snowy Christmas card. Cammie added the sentiment by combining the retired Peaceful Poinsettia stamp set with the Merry Christmas dies #147912. There were 2 layers of texturing using the Cable Knit and Falling Snow embossing folders.

My monthly Christmas card post is a day late because I had to pay tribute to my baby sister who had a milestone birthday yesterday. I love this card so much and plan to make it again using traditional Christmas colors. I used circle punches for the nose and heads. The hats are made using the cupcake dome framelit from the retired cupcake cutout dies. The pool party hat is textured with the Cable Knit Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #143537. The striped hat is cut from a piece of the soon to be retired How Sweet It Is #148568 Stampin Up DSP. I added the ruffle using the scalloped edge framelit from the Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies #148527. The sentiment is from the Well Said # 148796 and coordinating Well Written Framelits #148534
Today’s post is sure to warm you up with a little bit of Christmas cheer. The shaded spruce layer is textured with the Stampin Up Cable Knit #143537 Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I then matted a rectangle of the Under the Mistletoe DSP #146921. I used the now retired Merry Cafe stamp set to stamp and decorate the cup and then cut it out using the Coffee Cup Framelits #146921.
I have struggled with coming up with cards for my Christmas in July workshop this year and I can’t figure out why. Heck this time last year, I had all my Christmas cards designed and ready to go. Hopefully once the new Stampin Up holiday catalog comes out I will be re-inspired and finish up my 2017 cards. I have seen a sneak peek of the new catalog and it is fabulous especially the fall and Halloween products. The new catalog goes live on Sept 1 so stay tuned.
In the meantime, today’s card is a fun design that uses the Warmth and Cheer DSP from last year. I texture the right hand side using the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I hid the seam using a piece of retired cherry cobbler satin ribbon. For the holly leaves, I got creative with the Vintage Leaves #138802 stamp set and the coordinating Leaflets Framelits dies #138283 from Stampin Up. I used a 1/2 inch circle punch and red glimmer paper to make the berries. For the sentiment, I added a simple greeting from the Teeny Tiny Wishes #128748 and hand cut into a banner.
Who doesn’t love a lighthouse? Do you hear the beach calling your name? It sounds a lot like what you hear when the Stampin Up High Tide #143006 stampset is calling to you.Do you hear the beach calling your name? It sounds a lot like what you hear when these stamps are calling to you. Cammie answered all the calls with this one. She brayered the background and then added the sand and lighthouse from the High Tide stamp set. The focal panel is mounted on marina mist cardstock textured with the Cable Knit Imperial Embossing Folders #1435337 to complete the nautical look.
I started today’s card out by texturing the main layer with the gorgeous Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #143537. I then pulled out a winter set that retired years ago called Winter Wishes to create the snow scene. I added a few snowflakes and bling along with the sentiment to create a nice winter card.
The only good thing about cold weather is big bulky sweaters. Recently people began celebrating ugly Christmas sweaters and I have become paranoid to wear my Christmas sweaters for fear that it would be viewed as ugly. Well in case you did not know today is ugly sweater day and I did my best to make an ordinary cable knit sweater ugly.
The sweaters features the Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the sweater base. I used a crimper for the trim. To make it “ugly” I added a tree stamped with the Santa’s Sleigh #142057 photopolymer stamp set and cut with the coordinating Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits #140278. I then added a variety of sequins to “uglyfy” it.
Be sure and get in the spirit and wear your ugly sweater today and throughout the holiday season!
