For today’s card I used the Stampin Up Butterflies Thinlits #137360 to create a mask. The black background is the now retired but on the Stampin Up Clearance Rack. I then used the butterfly stencil and chalk inks to dauber the butterfly on the chalkboard background. For extra emphasis, I added a coordinating butterfly and a strip of rhinestones for the body. To complete the look I added a banner with a sentiment and some coordinating ribbon
Today’s post is a simple layout for a birthday card but it as always the layout can be applied to any occasion. I used the Stampin Up Large Polka dot textured impressions folder #133739 and a strip of Sweet Taffy DSP #133693. I cut a label using the Chalk Talk Framelit #129983. I added the stamped image from the now retired Making Spirits Bright #135089 stamp set and colored it with Stampin Up Blendabilities. I added some ribbon and sequins to give it some texture to complete a fun birthday greeting.

Well today is the last day of another successful Stampin Up Sale-a-bration. You have until midnight Mountain Time to place an order to receive the free SAB items. I thought I would say goodbye to SAB with today’s card featuring mostly SAB items. For the swampy effect, I used the Gorgeous Grunge #130517 to stamp the background of this card using monochromatic color-pool party ink on pool party cardstock. I added a strip of sweet sorbet DSP #133521 (free SAB item) to create a “lily pad” I then created the alligator using the Petite Pennants Builder #122362 punch for the head, the teeth were cut using the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die #120893 and the eyelids were punched using the Owl Builder #118074 punch. For the body I used the Chalk Talk #129983 and stamped the See Ya Later #133533 (Free SAB Item) and then textured the head and body with the Decorative Dots #133520 (Free SAB item) to give it the alligator feel. I got really creative by wrapping the DSP around the back of the card and added his tail punched from Petite Pennants Builder punch. I think this made for a cute surprise and a fond farewell for the Stampin Up Sale-a-Bration. See ya later!
Cammie drew her inspiration for today’s post from page 99 of the Stampin Up annual catalog. The card is heavily layered and starts with a smoky slate card base that is textured with the Pretty Prints folder #132175. She added a mambo edge piece cut from the scallops edgelets #127019. The crushed curry piece is stamped using the Shop Around #129587 stamp set. Next she added a mambo piece cut from the Chalktalk framelits #129983 and then threaded with 2 sizes of ribbon. Finally, Cammie created an Island Indigo window using the chalk talk #130634 stampset and coordinating framelit #129983 and then used a 1 3/8 inch circle punch to create the window so she could add the chalk talk sentiment behind it. Remember to bundle your Stampin Up products when you can and save 15%.

Flu season is in full swing in Central Ohio and we are hoping our flu vaccines protect us from getting the crud. Today’s card is a get well card I made to have on hand when I need a quick card. I was cleaning out my ancient Stampin Up DSP and made a bunch of cards to use it up. So you could substitute any DSP and it would be just as good. To make the tissue box I just punched a Hexagon #130919 shape from a coordinating DSP and punched a hole in the top so that I could add a piece of real tissue. I put the completed box on a tag cut from the Chalk Talk Framelits #129983 and added a sweet get well sentiment to complete the card.

I used the Gingham Garden DSP #129310 from the Stampin Up annual catalog to create this countryside garden card. I used the Chalk Talk framelit #129983 to make the tag that I stamped the shovel image from the Tag It #130303 stampset. The Tag It stamp set is the charitable stampset that supports the Ronald McDonald House Charities. For every Tag It set sold Stampin Up donates $3 to RMHC- to date Stampin Up has donated over $1,000,000 to RMHC.
To complete the card I added paper ruffle using the edge of the Tea Lace Paper Doilies #129399 and made a sunflower from the 1 3/4 ” scallop circle punch #119854.
