Of all my Easter cards I made this year, I think this is my favorite. I think it is because I love punch art. Technically this is framelit art coupled with punches but I love it just the same. When I saw this piece of DSP from the Watercolor wonder DSP, I knew I wanted to do an Easter Egg with it. The basic egg shape was cut from the Ovals collection framelits#129381 and then I hand cut the “cracked” egg. The cute little chick (head and wing) is made from the Starburst framelits #132967 in the Stampin Up occasions catalog. The eyes are punched from the Owl Builder punch #118074 and then I used the fun googley eyes (on the Stampin Up Clearance rack), The beak is a modified Mosaic punch #131267. I added a bow in her hair using the now retired 1/8 ” taffeta daffodil ribbon. The Hey there sentiment is from Just Saying #133203 stampset and the coordinating Word Bubbles framelits #132968. The Just Saying and the Word Bubbles are a bundle and save item (wood #134819 and clear #134820). When purchasing them together you can save 15%.

Who does not love peeps? Today’s card is one of Cammie’s Easter designs. I love all her brayering cards because she makes it sound so easy to create these realistic backgrounds but trust me I have tried to do it but mine don’t turn out quite as nice.
The PEEPS sentiment is stamped using the Morning Post Alphabet #126592 from the Stampin Up annual catalog. The Egg was done using the Beyond Plaid backgroung stamp #129204 from the Spring Catalog and then she cut it out using the new oval framelits #129381 and then hand cut the cracked egg. She added the peep using the bird builder punch #117191. Super cute is what I can say.
