The Stampin Up Sheltering Tree retired stamp sets was one of my favorite sets. I made a simple card by stamping the image on a Stitched Shapes #152323 die cut image. The sentiment is from the retired Crazy About You stamp set and the metallic heart was punched using the Owl Punch.

Strawberry season is here and to celebrate Cammie made a sweet Thank you card. She started with a piece of the now retired Farmers Market DSP from Stampin Up. She used the Gorgeous Grunge #130514 stamp set to distress the strips of crumb cake cardstock and then wove the strips into a basket. She added a piece of crocheted ribbon (retired) She filled the basket with hand cut strawberries and leaves stamped using the now retired Apple of My Eye stamp set. To add texture to the strawberries, Cammie used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp. The tag was punched out and the sentiment was from the Stampin Up Crazy About You #138856 stamp set.
Happy Mothers Day. For today’s post I am featuring the beautiful paper pieced rose that was cut using the Stampin Up Rose Garden Thinlits #140619. Today’s multi-layered birthday card is simple and happy! I used the now retired Watercolor Wonder DSP from Stampin Up and punched a peek a boo hole using the 1 3/4 ” circle punch to reveal the Calypso Coral paper below. I cut the “happy” using the Hello You Thinlits Die#137363 from Stampin Up. The birthday sentiment is from the coordinating Crazy About You #137137 stamp set. If you have been avoiding using the intricate thinlits like the Happy and other words from the Hello You set because they were too intricate to remove from the die; your life just got easier with the Stampin Up Precision Base Plate #139684 and the Big Shot Die Brush #140603. Both these tools make working with detailed dies a dream.
I have been clearing house lately and using up my retired pretty Stampin Up DSP and today’s card is no exception. When I find a piece of DSP I love, I want to show it off with a simple design and this is probably my favorite go to layout. The background DSP is from the now retired Stampin Up Birthday Bash collection. I added a Night of Navy Strip and embossed the Perfectly Penned Sentiment is white. I then added a Melon Mambo flower from the Crazy About You #137137. The flower was also embossed in white and then hand cut and layered to give the flower texture.
Wow as I look at this card, If I would have added a red flower this would work for a 4th of July card or patriotic card.
I used a pistachio card base since that color will be retiring on 2 June and I paired that with the Stampin Up Crazy About You stamp set #137137in calypso coral ink. I hand cut out the flowers and added them to a banner cut from the Party Pennants BigZ die #133732. Before adding the flowers, I cut the hello sentiment into the banner using the Hello You Thinlits #137363. I added some Stampin Up Sweet Sadie Washi Tape #133690 and an Itty Bitty Banner #129267 with a sentiment from the Crazy About You stamp set. I was inspired by my own card using the happy thinlits (See original post) but used the hello thinlit #137363 instead .I started with Pistachio cardstock for the base layer and then stamped the leaves from the co-ordinating Crazy About You #137137 stamp set. For the main panel, I cut out a hello using the Hello You Thinlits Dies #137363 to reveal the pistachio layer through the letter openings. I then cut 3 more hello words in coordinating colors and added them to the card front. I added a piece of now retired ruffled satin ribbon to add texture.
This card turned out so cute and is the perfect card to say hello to spring (finally)!

For todays card I used a classic layout featuring 2 patterned papers from 2 different DSP collections in the Stampin Up Sale-a-bration catalog. The upper layer is from the Best Year Ever DSP #138633 and the bottom layer is from the yummy Irresistibly Yours #138635 DSP paper collection. What makes this card so fun is the Irresistibly Yours paper is a white paper with glossy white pattern that is revealed with a coloring technique-sponging,brayering, spritzing or coloring with Stampin Up Blendabilities. I used the brayer with Crushed Curry ink and the white dots really popped out.
I separated the 2 DSP papers with a piece of satin pool party ribbon. The happy sentiment is cut with the Hello You Thinlits and the coordinating Crazy About You #138859 stamp set.
