Today would have been our mombugs 83rd birthday. I think of her every day but especially on her birthday. So todays post is just a thinking of you tribute to our mom. The card is just a sweet bird on a branch punched from the Bird Builder punch #117191. The bird wing was popped on the bird and placed on the window piece. The sentiment is from the retired Stampin Up curly cute set and cut out using the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits #135707.

Today’s card is one of the cards I made for my envelope punch board class. For this class I wanted to show why it is worthwhile to invest in the Stampin Up envelope punch board #133774. I put off buying the punch board because I thought it was just another tool to collect dust and really I make standard cards and buy standard envelopes and I was happy. The my sister and Stampin Up upline told me you need it because you can make boxes, cards, treat bags and lots more than envelopes so I took the plunge. Of course, I got it and it remained in the box unopened in a drawer for months. So I decided to challenge myself to have a workshop to feature and use the envelope board. I was scared because I did not want to disappoint my customers so I googled “how to use my Stampin Up board” and life has not been the same since. There was so many samples that I became overwhelmed and had a very successful workshop. So over the next month or so I will be showing the stuff I made with this fabulous must have tool!
I saw this card in the Stampin Up annual catalog on pg 130. It made me giddy that I could use the envelope punch board to make a card. I used the Naturals Composition DSP (no longer available) as the card base and them just used the punch board to notch the sides of the card. I then punched butterflies from 3 shades of cardstock using the Elegant Butterfly #127526 punch. I stamped random images from the Summer Silhouettes #126447 and the Wetlands stamp set #126697 and added a Curly Cute (no longer available) sentiment hand cut banner.
Cinderella would love to receive this card! Cammie got her inspiration from the card sample on page 39 of the 2013-2014 Stampin Up catalog. Cammie stepped it up by embossing the shoe from the Fabulous You #126522 in silver and added 2 fun pennants cut from scrap DSP using the Hearts a Flutter #130159 and pennant framelits #132173. Cammie added a small heart and the sentiment from the now retired Curly Cute stampset.
Today’s card was one of the cards from my Washi tape class. Both cards have the same concept and layout but I used different combinations of Washi Tapes. It was fun to combine all the 4 sets of Stampin Up washi tape to make a fun card. Super easy and very random strips of Washi tape really was a fun way to expose guests to the Washi.
Happy birthday to my dear friend Kim Dunn. We have been life long friends since 1972. Today’s card makes me think of her because she is a girly girl. I wanted to use the Fabulous You #126522 stamp set available in the Stampin Up 2013-2014 annual catalog. I have had this set for almost 2 years and never used it so it was my goal to make some November birthday cards. I tried different layouts but was not happy so I pulled out the Stampin Up catalog and turned to page 39 and that spurred my mojo to keep it simple. I just simply stamped the shoe in in smoky slate and then added some basic rhinestones#119246 and a wee little mambo bow made from the 1/8″ taffeta ribbon #131207. The sentiment is from the curly cute stampset that is no longer available. The best part about the card is what you can’t see. The inside greeting from the Fabulous You set. It reads: The best friends come in all shapes and sizes…. just like fabulous shoes.
For today’s card Cammie was inspired by the card on page 14 of the Stampin Up 2013-2014. Cammie swapped the ribbon bow for a bow cut using the new Big Z Gift Bow die #12997from the Stampin Up holiday catalog. She used the sentiment from the now retired curly cute stamp set to create a trendy hand cut banner.
Today I wanted to get away from a Christmasy look to honor my friend Traci for her birthday. A big shout out to her today! I selected the Comfort Cafe DSP #126898 and paired it with the Decorate a Daisy stamp #125991 from the Stampin Up Annual Catalog. I stamped the daisy two times then hand cut and layered the daisy on a cajun craze window frame Framelit #129021 and added the hand cut pennant stamped with the curly cute sentiment #120510 to complete the look.
