For the last several months, we have posted a Christmas card on the 25th of each month. This was so popular and believe it or not we did not post all the cards we made this past Christmas so we have decided to carry the Christmas card posts in the 25 for all of 2013! So forgive me if you are Christmas-ed out! Today’d card features the Be of Good Cheer DSP #126896 from the Stampin Up annual catalog. To make the wreath, I thought outside the stamp and used the Day Dream medallion set #126467 and coordinating Floral Frames Framelits #127012. I finished by adding a bit of Cherry Cobbler Dazzliing Details #125585. It was quick and easy (after the Dazzling Details dried).

Today’s card started from a sketch I saw on a blog and looks like a lot of work but really it was not that bad. I wanted to use the Festival of Prints DSP paper stack #126904 as the base and the accent piece. The work of this card comes with pulling out the heat gun, versa pad and embossing powders but the flower came together quickly by using the Day Dream Medallion stamp #126427 and the coordinating Floral Fusion framelits #127012. When I was done embossing I was super happy with the results.
Todays post is the treat that I made my boss for Boss’ day. I filled a 1″ X 6″ cellophane bag with fall M&Ms and then created a bouquet of roses using the Day Dream Medallionz stamp set 126467 and the coordinating Floral Frames Framelits #127012. To create the rose I made a spiral cut in each medallion and then rolled it up to form the rose. It turned out so pretty that I had a hard time giving it away but my boss really loved it.
Here’s a big shout out to my friend and fellow blogger Sherry Rider. Today’s card is the card I made for her birthday but it was a bit bulky to mail so I hand delivered it to her. This card features the Day Dream Medallions #126467 stampset and the coordinating Floral Frames Framelits #127012 from the Stampin Up Annual Catalog. I embossed all layers of the flower using versa mark and clear embossing powder. The center of the flower is the yummy vintage faceted designer buttons #127555. I placed the flower on a piece of ivory cardstock textured with the fancy fan textured folder #127751.
The houndstooth DSP is from the Festival of Prints DSP paper pack #126904 from the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog. The Festival of Prints DSP paper pack comes in a pack of 48 sheets (4 EA of 12 Designs) that are perfectly sized to 4 1/2″ x 6 1/2″. The Festival of Prints DSP paper is intended for making fun holiday card fronts or for matting holiday photos but the versitility of the designs allows for non holiday card design. As a matter of fact I have used this paper more for non holiday cards than for holiday use. I call that thinking outside the DSP.
To finish this card, I stamped and embossed the sentiment and using the Curly Cute #120510 stampset and hand cut the early espresso banner. I hope the birthday girl likes this card as much as I liked creating it!
