In keeping with the doily theme and inspiration from the Flirtatious DSP color scheme my stepped up card for the workshop is featured in todays post.
I randomly stamped delicate doily stamps in pretty in pink and daffodil delight ink on white cardstock. I then embossed the hello doily image in white craft ink and white embossing powder on wisteria cardstock. I then cut out and adhered to card front. I then made a looped ruffled ribbon from a 1″ strip of Flirtatious DSP. I used the sueding technique to create the mambo flower. I punched 2 fancy flowers and distressed them and then peeled them apart to create multiple layers that I scrunched together and secured with a wisteria polka dot designer printed brad. This card was a lot of work but so worth it.
Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant and Lucky Limeade are the 3 colors that make up creative combination #3 that our new designer and Cammie’s downline, Lara Kirchner selected for today’s amazing challenge. Today’s 4 cards are all predominantly flower cards. Could it be that the lovely pastel wisteria wonder makes us envision a flower theme. Lara’s design was featured around the ala carte triple treat flower and the coordinating Fancy Flower and 5 petal punches. Cammie’s extensive layered look was centered around an “inchie”layout that is softened by a garland spread of distressed wisteria flowers. My inspiration for the wisteria challenge was the “he loves me, he lovse me not” daisy. Yvonne’s card simplistic layout features the blossom petals builder punch. Stay tuned tomorrow for Yvonne’s Pear Pizazz color coach challenge.
