Strawberry season is here and to celebrate Cammie made a sweet Thank you card. She started with a piece of the now retired Farmers Market DSP from Stampin Up. She used the Gorgeous Grunge #130514 stamp set to distress the strips of crumb cake cardstock and then wove the strips into a basket. She added a piece of crocheted ribbon (retired) She filled the basket with hand cut strawberries and leaves stamped using the now retired Apple of My Eye stamp set. To add texture to the strawberries, Cammie used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp. The tag was punched out and the sentiment was from the Stampin Up Crazy About You #138856 stamp set.
Today’s post is mostly about the Stampin Up Farmers Market DSP #138448. I used it for the background paper and added random “Fresh” images from the Stampin Up Farm Fresh (retired) stamp set. For all the vegetables except the lettuce, I cut them out of a piece of Market Fresh DSP. For the lettuce, I used the Market Fresh #138708 stamp set, colored it with Copic markers and then cut it out and popped it on top of all the other vegetables. I added a piece of twine to complete this super fun card.
When I saw the Market Fresh #138708 stamp set in the 2015-2016 Stampin Up catalog it was top on my list. I love stamps that play on words and “lettuce” be creative. Today’s card is one I made for a dear friend that recently retired from her 37 year federal government job. The background is textured using the Stampin Up Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I then added a strip of Farmers Market DSP #138448 and a few scraps of DSP hand cut into a banners and a piece of Washi Tape. The main panel is stamped using the all new and super fabulous Stampin Up Basic black Archival ink #140931. I used an array of Copic Markers to color the image and bring the lettuce to life!
Once again I went to the Stampin Up Farmers Market DSP collection to make this card. The DSP is so fantastic that it really does not need much to make a nice card. I added the artichoke stamp from the now retired Home grown stamp set.
For similar card. I used the now retired DSP and randomly stamped artichokes from the Homegrown stampset and then added a strip of always artichoke cardstock and the Fabulous Four stampset #134171
