Floral Congrats

I believe that Cammie got he Mojo back with today’s card.  It is proof that more is more when it comes to making cards.  This card is chuck full of Stampin Up product.  The card base is crumbcake card stock and then a whisper white layer textured with the perfect polka dot folder #117335 serves as the foundation for the rest of the card.  The crumbcake strip is textured with the adorning accents folder #125601 and the fabulous silver glimmer #124005 is cut from the adorning accents edgelits #125595 and layered just beneath the cardstock strip.  A hand cut banner is layered on top of the crumbcake strip.  Next, the flowers were cut from the Fun Flowers Die #121812 and the other is punched from the Fancy Flower #118073 punch. The center of the white flower is punched with the Boho Blossoms punch #119858 and the Raining Flowers stamp #122767 is the center of the Calypso Coral flower.  Both flowers have a bitty button in the center.  The silver glimmer little leaves sizzlit #114511 adds a bit of interest to the flowers. To finish the card, Cammie used the Bitty Banners die #129267 and the coordinating Bitty Banner stamp set #126257.

Flower Corsage

The homecoming season is upon us and Cammie has been hard at work creating corsages using fabric scraps and the very exquisite scalloped tulle ribbon to create a darling pin or accent for a card or scrapbook page.

35 years ago I would have loved thishomecoming corsage and it would be classified as vintage now!  I truly wonder if teenage girls today would wear and treasure this type of corsage for their homecoming dance.  Even more I wonder how many teenage boys would give this to a girl for a dance.  No matter what the occasion, I would wear this pin today so I guess somethings never change.  I plan to make some with the wonderful line of Stampin Up fabrics.

Love and Care#2

Today’s post is from the ever talented Yvonne Crook who answered Cammies Love and Care stamp set.  The Love and Care stamp set was a hostess set that did not get inked very often until Cammie challenged Yvonne to create 3 cards using this set.  This is the 2nd card in the 3 card series from Yvonne. This card really brings out Yvonne’s love for pastels and can be used for any occasion.

Daisy Button

Just like the energizer bunny, the pennant cards keep going and going… Today’s card is an “inchie” style card.  The flower is formed using pennant punches.  The faux button looks like a real button but is not as bulky because it was made using a stack of at least 4 each 1 3/8 circles and topped off with a circle ring.  Punch button holes and add bakers twine to complete the look.
