I made this card for one of my tea loving friends and it uses the retired products from the now retired Have a Cuppa DSP and the rest of the products in the Have a Cuppa Suite of Products including the A Nice Cuppa and Cups & Kettle framelits dies. I was sad that this suite only stayed around for a little while but dusted them off to make a tea-riffic birthday card.

Today’s card features all retired Stampin Up products from the 2016 Occasions catalog. The Have a Cuppa Product suite was one of my favorites in the Occasions catalog and I was disappointed that it was not carried over in the 2016-2017 Stampin Up annual catalog.
I was super sad that the A Nice Cuppa stamp set was not carried over in the Stampin Up 2016-2017 Annual catalog. The Entire suite of products was backordered for most of the Occasions catalog duration so I will be playing with it even though its no longer available.
For today’s card, I started with two strips of DSP from the Have a Cuppa DSP paper stack and then added a folded doily. For the main focal piece, I stamped the stack of tea cups and added the tea bag.
For today’s post I started with some retired DSP from the Have a Cuppa DSP paper stack and then used the Stampin Up Rose Garden Thinlit to build the rose as my focal point. I had to cut the rose 2times to get the complete look and pieced the rose together.
Today’s post features all things retired from Stampin Up except the Melon Mambo cardstock and ink. The cardbase is textured with the large polka dot TIEF and then I added a layer of the Have a Cuppa DSP. I stamped the sentiment from the Enjoy the Little Things stamp set and then punched it out using the 2.5 inch circle punch. The sentiment piece was slightly tucked under the retro DSP and then the scalloped edged polka dot ribbon was added to hide the edge.
I was super surprised that Stampin Up did not carry over the A Nice Cuppa stamp set. I absolutely love the entire suite of products including the Have a Cuppa DSP and the Cups and Kettles Framelits Dies. For todays card, I went wild with the various patterns of DSP and then added a handmade teabag with the sweet sentiment from the A Nice Cuppa stamp set.
I know that you have seen the Q-Tip sheep before but I could not resist posting it on a birthday card. Cammie used the soon to be retired Have a Cuppa #140567 DSP paper stack. The sheep was made using a punch of Q-Tips and she hand wrote the sentiment onto a Washi Tape Punched Piece. Super Q and special birthday card that needs special handling if mailing it!
Today’s card is all about the layering patterned paper. The good thing about the Stampin Up DSP paper collections is that the guess work is done for you. The collections are designed to work together. For this card, I used 5 patterns from the Have A Cuppa DSP paper stack #140567 and separated each piece with a whisper white mat. The mat really tones down the bright patterns. I stamped the sentiment from the Enjoy the Little Things #140958 stamp set directly on to the lemon patterned paper and added a rhinestone for bling.
Both the Have a Cuppa and the Enjoy the Little Things are on the Stampin Up Retired List and will not be available past May 31st. Be sure to check out the Retirement List to catch all the items before they are gone for good.
Nothing screams birthdays like cupcakes! Today’s post is a sweet birthday card I made featuring some soon to be retiring products like the Have a Cuppa DSP paper stack #140567 and the Sprinkles of Life #139971 stamp set from Stampin Up.
