Happy Birthday to my pink and Black banner loving friend, Kim. I pulled out all my Stampin Up banner stuff, (Hearts a Flutter#130159, Bitty Banner Framelits #129267), the new Back to Black DSP #133700 and went to town. I added some birthday sentiments from the Itty Bitty Banner stamp set #126257 and the Good Greetings stamp set that will be available soon. I added plenty of mambo pink and Tangelo Twist ribbon including the new 3/8 ” Stitched Satin #133669 and the 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon #134556. Yum! The whole banner was created on top of the Large Polka Dot Textured embossing folder #133739 and of course no card to Kim can be done without a little bit of rhinestone bling #119246.

Cinderella would love to receive this card! Cammie got her inspiration from the card sample on page 39 of the 2013-2014 Stampin Up catalog. Cammie stepped it up by embossing the shoe from the Fabulous You #126522 in silver and added 2 fun pennants cut from scrap DSP using the Hearts a Flutter #130159 and pennant framelits #132173. Cammie added a small heart and the sentiment from the now retired Curly Cute stampset.
Well I used my yesterdays card as my inspiration to make this sympathy card for my aunt who lost her husband, my dear Uncle Rick, who my son referred to as “Barn Man”. To honor Barn Man I chose to make an old barn with 2 etched hearts symbolizing the 59 years of marriage and the love for their 7 boys and their families.
I used soft suede ink on 2 pieces of crumb cake cardstock using the direct to paper method. I then used the Hardwood Background stamp and espresso ink and stamped the barn on both pieces of cardstock. I then used the Hearts framelits #125599 to cut a heart in one of the pieces. I stamped the heart using the Hearts a Flutter #129252 stampset and colored it with pink pirouette marker until I got the desired color and was happy with the way it turned out. RIP Rick Matson. You were a good man and a legend in your own time!
So then I wanted to take it one step more and make it a little simpler so instead of stamping and coloring I just used the small heart framelit to cut another hole and reveal the pink heart. I then added the sentiment from the Hip Notes #133504 and now I love this card too. So my inspiration from yesterdays post was a double bonus!
Today’s card is to commemorate my anniversary. I can’t believe it has been 23 years since I married my BFF and I must say we have had more good times than bad and hope to have many more years together. Enough sap for one day!
Today’s card is a direct CASE (Copy and Share Everything) from page 59 of the 2013-2014 Stampin Up annual catalog. For the card base, I used the wonderful Naturals Composition DSP #126917. I used 2 stamps for the sentiment: One in a Million #126382 and Hearts a Flutter #129252 and the cut it out using the Apothecary Accents #127003 framelits. I hand cut a banner from a piece of scrap DSP and tied it with a piece of twine.
When I am in a pinch, I love to use the Stampin Up catalog to find a card design because the hard work has been done for you. If you have been inspired by the Stampin Up catalog and made a card please send it to me (firstname.lastname@example.org) in a .JPG file and I will post it on the blog.
For today’s card Cammie drew her inspiration from the card on page 37 of the 2013-2014 Stampin Up annual catalog. She stepped it up by using used the all new Stampin Up Thinlits Circle card die#133480 that cuts, scores and creates a card that flips in just 1 easy step. The real red cardstock was textured with the woodgrain textured folder #127821. The flappable circle has a heart cut from scrap DSP using the Hearts a Flutter fra, elits #130159 on the front side and the flip side has the Yippee-Skippee #131344 stampset stamped multiple times. She finished the seam with hearts punched using the small heart #117193. Super fun and cute card. There is also a thinlit label diecut card 133479 that is equally as cute.
Today’s card is a stamp free card that features a banner cut from the Hearts A Flutter #130159 framelits using the Gingham Garden DSP #129310. To add even more cuteness, I hand cut banners from the all new Gingham Garden Washi Tape #129314 to add character to the banner and added a bit of bakers twine to create a trendy all purpose card.
It’s Tuesday so it is digital download day at Stampin Up. Stampin Up offers new digital downloads every Tuesday and they can be used with Stampin Up’s My Digital Studio and other non SU digital applications. Today’s card is a hybrid card started out as a digital card that I created in MDS and had printed using Stampin Up’s printing services. I used some scraps of DSP and the Hearts a Flutter Framelits #130159 to add a “real” banner tied with Island Indigo Bakers Twine #125575. I completed the banner by adding a Itty Bitty flower punch #118309 and a basic rhinestone. It is fun to have the digital card bases on hand and ready to he hybridized when you need a card in a pinch.

Congratulations to my friend Elizabeth and her fiance Mike who recently got engaged on Valentines Day weekend. I waited to post until it was facebook official. Today’s card is the one that I sent to congratulate the happy couple. I used the More Amore Specialty DSP #129309 as the background and then stamped the Eiffle tower from the Artistic Etching stamp set #120573 onto another strip of the More Amore DSP. I added a folded paper doily #129399 and then layered banners and scallops and a stamped heart from the Hearts a Flutter stampset #129252 and cut out using the coordinating framelits #130159. I finished it off with a piece of pool party satin ribbon. The ribbon is a free item from the Stampin Up annual Sale-A-Bration catalog.
Valentines Day would not be complete with out a card for my husband. I cute the I and the U and then stamped the heart using the Hearts a Flutter stampset and then cut it out with the coordinating framelits. I added the banners using scraps of the More Amore DSP.
Happy Valentines Day.
I love a simple white on white card and I think this is my favorite one of my Valentines I made this year. I drew my inspiration from Pinterest. I used the Hearts a flutter framelits #130159 from the Stampin Up spring catalog to create the heart and the arrow head. The DSP I created using MDS and the digital More Amore download and printed it at home. Love the way it turned out.
