Queen for a Day

Continuing with the doily workshop today I am featuring Cammie’s over the top card.

The queen for the day focal piece detaches and is a ribbon necklace.  The main piece is the largest  beveled window pane and stamped with the You’re a Gem stampset. The stamped image was attached to the back beveled window piece using StampinUp adhesive sheets.  The background was  stamped with whisper white craft ink on mambo cardstock using the perfect words stampset.  the Hello Doily was stamped with mambo ink on pumpkin pie cardstock and hand cut. The border strips were cut from flirtatious DSP and pumpkin pie cardstock using the tasteful trim Bigshot die.  This card is a true keepsake  and wowed the customers.

Hello Doily meets Delicate Doily

In keeping with the doily theme and inspiration from the Flirtatious DSP color scheme my stepped up card for the workshop is featured in todays post.

I randomly stamped delicate doily stamps in pretty in pink and daffodil delight ink on white cardstock.  I then embossed the hello doily image in white craft ink and white embossing powder on wisteria cardstock. I then cut out and adhered to card front. I then made a looped ruffled ribbon from a 1″ strip of Flirtatious DSP.  I used the sueding technique to create the mambo flower. I punched 2 fancy flowers and distressed them and then peeled them apart to create multiple layers that  I scrunched together and secured with a wisteria polka dot designer printed brad.  This card was a lot of work but so worth it.

Hello Doily-Black and White

When the Stampin Up Idea Book and Catalog came out, I knew that the hello doily would make it to the top of my wish list. Todays post is one I created that is truly an elegant card just because it is black and white and clean and simple.  I did not add a sentiment to this card because I just want to look at it and may never give it away.  I stamped the hello doily stamp in basic black and then added the delicate doily stamps randomly in gray. I then added the paper doily to the center of the hello doily image then layered with triple blossom punch and a rhinestone and added black satin ribbon.

Hello Doily Workshop Sneak Peek

Here is a sneak peek of what’s planned for the upcoming Hello Doily workshop.  I usually don’t like to reveal anything from the workshops because I love to hear the oohs and Ahhs but these cards turned out so great that I had to tease.  Stay tuned for the BIG reveal starting tomorrow after the Hello doily workshop is over.
