Sending Good thoughts

2014_04_27IMG_0920 I saw the layout for today’s card in the Stampin Success magazine.  Stampin Success is a great idea magazine exclusively available to Stampin Up demonstrators. I decided to CASE (Copy and Steal Everything) the layout and added the Kaleidoscope DSP #132995 strip and added the sentiment and stars on the whisper white cardstock using the Perfect Pennants #133230 stamp set.  I used the fringe scissors to create a fun and festive edge on the card.  All the stuff to make this card (aside from the coordinating card stock) is from the Stampin Up occasions catalog.

Oh happy day!

2014_04_26IMG_1112

To create today’s cheerful card, I combined the Kaleidoscope DSP #132995and the Starburst Sayings #133185 stampset from the Stampin Up occasions catalog. The bright colors work so well together and the Starburst Sayings stamps coordinate with the Starburst Framelits #132967 to make putting this card together a breeze. I added a bit of ribbon flair using the 3/8″ Strawberry Slush ruffle stretch ribbon.

If you like the Starburst Sayings be sure to purchase it in a bundle with the Starburst Framelits and save 15% (wood #134817, clear #134818).

When in doubt wear red

2014_04_10Fashion statement 001 Black I love the sentiment on this card.  For me it is not only wearing red but anytime I can choose a color there is no doubt that I will choose red!  Cammie made this fabulous girly girl card by cutting 3 shades of red card stock cut to 1 x1 1/2 inches and then punched the bottom with the Envelope Punch Board #133774and rounded the corners with the Envelope Punch Board.  She added a hand cut piece of Basic Black for the handles and highlighted with the White Gel Pen.  To get the glassy look she added a thin coat of Crystal Effects and set them aside to dry.  She added a piece of Kalediscope DSP #132995 and a red lace border (retired punch).

The punch board definitely is a great tool to own and can be used for more than cutting envelopes!

Amazing Black and White card

2014_04_06IMG_0913 Today’s card is a very simple layout that combines the Kaleidoscope DSP 132995 from the Stampin Up occasions catalog with the You’re Amazing #126722 stampset to create this super fun card.  The great thing about this card is that just by switching the background paper to any of the wonderful Stampin Up DSP patterns you can get a completely new look.

Smile Again

2014_03_29IMG_0871 I was inspired by yesterday’s card that Cammie made and today’s post is the version I came up with. I used a piece of  strip of  Kaleidoscope DSP #132995. The card features the Peachy Keen #133113 stampset and the On Film Framelits #132969 from the Stampin Up occasions catalog. The Peachy Keen stampset and the Framelits are a bundled item (wood #135224 and clear #135225) when purchasing together.   I completed the card by adding random rhinestone bling.

Bright and Cheery

2014_02_24IMG_0564

Happy Birthday to our sweet friend Julie Hahn!  We spend time every summer with the Hahn family on Austin Lake sipping cocktails so I thought it would be fun to add some bright and cheery fun to this winter by making Julie a card using the Kaleidoscope DSP from the Stampin Up occasions catalog  and pairing it with Happy Hour #126642 stampset from the Stampin Up annual catalog.  Each cocktail is meticulously hand cut and place along the white panel.  I added the cheers sentiment in an oval and matted on the artistic label #130920.

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere Julie so Cheers to you!
