Unique Birthday

2016_03_02IMG_0131

I love the bright color combination that Cammie chose for today’s birthday post.  She used a retired Stampin Up folder to texture the background; although I think the new Confetti #140592 Textured Impressions Embossing Folder would be a perfect substitution. In the center of the card Cammie stamped the sunburst image from the Kinda Eclectic #135347 stamp set and then began building her gorgeous flower using pieces of the now retired mustache framelits die.  To finish, Cammie cut the happy sentiment from the Hello You Thinlits #137363.

Happy Happy card

2015_11_08MG_6990

Happy Birthday to my oldest friend Kim Dunn!  By old I don’t mean in age (but she is older than me!) but old in terms of the number of years we have been friends-44 years! Today I am posting a card that reminds me of our friendship.  I chose a fun yellow dot piece of DSP (now retired) and then for the main panel I used 2 Stampin Up sets- Kinda Eclectic #135350 to layer the sun behind the fabulous sentiment from the Feel Goods # 129684 stamp set.  I added a piece of Hello Honey ribbon and randomly scattered rhinestones colored with my Copic markers to add the perfect amount of bling.

Here’s to you Kim!

A Little Kindness

2015_08_16IMG_6987 For today’s post I used all the images from the Stampin Up Kinda Eclectic #135347 stampset to make this sweet Thank You card. The sentiment on this card is what made me purchase this stamp and is my personal mantra I have owned the Kinda Eclectic set for a long time and never got around to using it until now. It always is fun to try and use all the images on a single card to achieve an overall collage look. I added the punched butterfly using the coordinating Elegant Butterfly punch.#127526.

Fancy Fireworks

2015_03_13IMG_6986 For todays fancy birthday card, I wanted to feature the Kinda Ecclectic #135350 stamp set from the Stampin Up annual catalog.  I bought the Kinda Eclectic set months ago and never used it so when I decided to do a month of birthdays I wanted to feature some stamp sets that I have not used before.  I started with a piece of black cardstock, (although I wish I had used the Stampin Up chalkboard paper) and stamped the starbust image from the Kinda Eclectic set using the Silver Metallic Encore Ink #132142 and then added punched circles from the silver glimmer paper #135314 to the centers of the starbursts.  I added a sentiment and strips of washi tape from the Stacked with Love collection #137789.  I finished the card with randomly placed rhinestone bling #119246.

Legendary Titanic

2015_01_19DSCI0756This card is all about the shaving cream technique that uses Stampin Up re-inkers and shaving cream to create the ocean waves. The miniature Titanic was stamped from the Stampin Up Traveler #134513 stampset and then hand cut out and placed on the waves.  The sun was stamped using the Kinda Eclectic #135350 stampset to create this all purpose and mostly masculine card.

Take Note

2014_11_12DSCI0781 How excited was I when I received a package from Cammie and this adorable Kraft Journal?  Cammie loves to decorate journals of all shapes and sizes but this adorable Kraft Journal #135718 takes the cake.  Cammie used the Kinda Eclectic #135350 stampset to create the background.  She then added a multi layer flower using the 1 3/4″scallop circle #119854 punch.

These kraft journals make a fun, cute and practical gift for any occasion.

Christmas in July card parade

2014_07_25DSCI0744 In July we traditionally host a Christmas in July workshop where our focus is Christmas cards. Today marks only 5 months until Christmas so I am sharing a parade of Cammie’s cards from her Christmas in July workshop.  The first card is the Joyful Tidings card and features the Kinda Eclectic #135347, An Open Heart #134999, and Christmas Messages #131790 Stampin Up stampsets.

The starburst from the Kinda Eclectic set and The Joyful Tidings sentiment from the Christmas messages set are embossed with gold embossing powder.   The largest Apothecary Accents framelit #127003 and the Oval Accents framelits are layered to and anchor the mistletoe stamped, colored with Old Olive #130999 and Coastal Cabana #129369 blendabilites markers and then handcut.  The mistletoe was tied with the scrumptious gold 1/8 ” ribbon.

2014_07_26DSCI0745 The 2nd card in Cammie’s suite of Christmas cards is the silver Season’s Greetings card.  This card has a window cut from the Snowflake Framelits (no longer available) and then Cammie used silver embossing powder to emboss the mistletoe from the Open Heart stamp set.  The bird is also from the Open Heart stamp set and was colored using the Pumpkin Pie #130997 and Cherry Cobbler #130995 Stampin Up blendabilites markers. Once colored the bird was hand cut out and perched atop of the silver mistletoe.  The silver embossed snowflakes are from the Snow days #131892 stampset and the sentiment is from the Joy to the World stampset #131796. The simplicity of this card makes it a beautiful and stunning card.

2014_07_27DSCI0746The final card in Cammie’s Christmas card parade features the Tap, Tap, Tap #134201 from the Stampin Up annual catalog.  The Back to Black DSP #133700 is the background of this card.  Cammie went back to the basic to create the note paper using a ruler and the Project Life journaling pens #135304 and used the spiral border punch #119874. Cammie added a typewriter using the Tap Tap Tap stamp set. She completed the card by writing a Dear Santa letter asking for Stampin Up supplies!
