bright and beautiful Friend

2014_11_17IMG_5732 Happy birthday to my dear college friend, Lisa that I met in engineering dynamics oh so many years ago.  When I saw this stamp, Friends Who Know #134081 in the Stampin Up catalog I knew I had to have it.  I have 4 or 5 friends that come to mind that know too much about me (Yes you know who you are) and I have decided to use this stamp and make the card 5 different ways and post it on my blog to honor my dear friends.  This is the second time this month that I posted a card using this special stamp.

This stamp is wonderful not only for the expression but it coordinates with the Labels Collections Framelits #125598.  I used the Confetti Celebration #133692 DSP along with the bright banners for extra Umph! The arrow is from the What’s Up #133781 punch.

Christmas in July-Sneak Peek

Merry Christmas in July! I had my Christmas in July card cafe last weekend and while I was prepping for that I decided that I was going to make my own Christmas cards too.  I have a huge jumpstart on them and want to have them done by the end of August.  That is a huge goal since I make about 150 cards but I am well on my way.  I was motivated by the Be of Good Cheer DSP#126896 in the 2012-2013 Stampin Up Annual Catalog.  This paper has got to be my favorite Christmas DSP in a long while. Then when I saw the new Holiday Catalog and all the wonderful stamps and accessories I went to the drawing board to create cards.  I decided that I was not going to stop until I used up every sheet of the DSP.  Mission accomplished! I created 11 different designs that I will share over the next several months but today I am focusing on some items that are available in the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog that goes live on August 1st. The image is stamped with the Star Tree #126784 single stamp and is then cut and matted using the Labels Collection Framelits #125598.  I then added the piercing using the Festive template #127857 and piercing tool #126189and piercing mat #126199 to provide a homespun look.  The banners are hand cut and the card is finished by using Copic markers to stain the Stampin Up rhinestones,

Labels Framelits-Thanks

Stampin Up introduced the Framelit dies for the Big Shot and they are so popular and make card making a breeze.  For this card I stamped my image (now retired) and then used the Labels Collection Framelits #125598 in two different sizes and then layered them on top og pleated DSP that I made into a banner and then added the pleated and a punched edge to create a quick thank-you card.  The card base is embossed with the elegant lines embossing folder#119277.

Apothecary Art workshop card

Todays post is a beautiful card that was part of Cammie’s spring workshop and open house.  This card features the framelits dies label collection and the apothecary art #125527 stampset.  There is so much detail on this card with lots of layering and of course the mini pearl bling.  The DSP and brads are the two of many sale-a-bration  items that are available for free with a $50 order and only available thru March 31st.  So hurry and place your order today!

It’s a wrap thank you

Today’s post is the 4th and final card I have made using the It’s a Wrap Occasion stampset #123592 and was used as the thank you for my customers orders in January. This card is simple but packed with a lot of punch!  It features the labels collection framelits dies and the perfect polka dots #117335 and the snowburst #124096 textured embossing folders.  I added a banner of daffodil delight 1 1/4 inch striped ribbon #119770 to complete the card.  So I used the stampset 4 times for cards and many times as party favors so I think I have justified purchasing this stamp set.
